I seriously can't understand why in all heavens people use Yoga as a f*cking excuse for saying this game is bad and that several activities were placed with it, seriously Michael is the only one who can do f*cking yoga. Im f*cking tired of everyone saying that Yoga even replaced Vigilante! SERIOUSLY HOW RETARDED IS THAT? DO PEOPLE EVEN PLAY THE GAME TO BE HONEST? DO THEY KNOW THEY REPLACED VIGILANTE WITH BAIL f*ckING BONDS?!

Can please somebody explain to me why this bonus activities which is a message from R* to us that this is the replacement for going to a gym (Because they tried brothers and sisters, and they failed) errased all the other activities from the exitance?

Tell me who the hell rather have Yoga over other sh*t. The only activity I don't really mind is Golf since they always had one in older GTA game but never a true game.

Yoga could of replaced Casinos

Yoga could of replaced gyms

Yoga could of replaced gang wars ( Which is online for what ever reason. )

The problem is people don't understand why Rockstar would even consider yoga in their game over other sh*t. I bet less then 10% even use yoga besides for the mission and going for 100%. Its a waste of time.

You know this isn't the only forum on the internet with GTA discussion right?

I mean, I have to say, I'm getting tired of people complaining about complaining to the point that even I'm starting to complain.

Sometimes when I go to IGN or Youtube and I see the most ridiculous comments ever, sometimes I hit that rectangle ready to speak my mind, but I stop, and I realize I don't have to.

I can just go do something else and forget about it. Learn to do the same and save us and you the time of sifting through threads like these. Ignoring isn't that hard. It all boils down to self control. If you don't have self control, then I really don't know what to say.

Edit: I'm not saying not to express your right to freedom of speech and expression. I'm just saying to control yourself and try not to create threads like these, because all they do is start useless flaming and petty arguments.

In other words, they spent time working on "yoga" when they should have been spending time working on "...". You could fill yoga with golf or tennis or arm wrestling. Wouldn't you have rathered the time and effort spent on the things we enjoyed and expected from past gtas, things important to core gameplay, than sh*tty little side shows no one ever plays and adds nothing to the actual game.

Ooooh yeah them 4 bail bonds missions were such an improvement on non-stop vigilante missions!

I think peoples johnnies are getting wrangled because there was a huge lack of criminal side missions and people feel like yoga has taken the place of where the criminal side missions should be.

I don't understand why R* didn't include both yoga AND criminal side missions. Bail bonds AND vigilante. Most ambitious GTA yet, but it lacks the some of the core things that make a GTA game.

I know right, yes Yoga is mediocre, but it did not replace other activities, on a side note, why do people cry and loose sleep over the lack of gyms, all they were in GTA San Andreas was button mashing.

Also, other GTA games had bad features, which were worse than Yoga:

GTA San Andreas:

  • Girlfriends
  • Hunger
  • Pool
  • Dancing
  • Bouncing (hydraulics as a customization feature were good but the minigame was terrible)

GTA IV:

  • Girlfriends
  • Friends
  • Bowling
  • Pool
  • TV which showed off things you want to do in the game but can't

On an unrelated topic, people complain about a feature, and then complain about it even more when it is removed, if you don't understand, listen to this.

Why do you arseholes assume that game development is a zero sum game? It's f*cking not. "Yoga is in, vigilante isn't. OH IT MUST HAVE REPLACED IT" = GTAF's haters logic, and believe me, logic should be in inverted commas.

As I've said, it's not a zero sum game. One poor element being in does not automatically mean that another more decent one was removed to accommodate it, do you realise how stupid it is to suggest that?

Although I've found going to the gym in San Andreas more entertaining than doing this yoga bullsh*t guys.

It had interactivity with other objects and "gym leaders" to learn better, more vital fighting moves.

Whereas V has 4-5 base fighting moves for three different characters.

Really?

There's more than that, since in V we can now fight people around us instead of just the guy we're facing.

Excuse me? In V, people are waiting in lines while you are fighting someone else.

And apart from basic punches and a kick, I don't see your point... oh, the one hit kill stealth punch is there too. Other than that, what can you come up with?

If you were referring to me, I should tell you that I'm far from being mad. :p To be honest, a cup of tea makes wonders to my nerves, but a videogame isn't enough for me to get mad. :)

I doubt anyone would care about yoga being in the game if there were some more of the traditional side missions to go along with it.

That's why it's an easy target. The activity itself is fine IMO, but it's understandable why people feel like that.

Oh the hypocrisy.

Question. How do you know what R* "replaced"? Were you there when they had the board meeting that decided if vigilante missions were going to make a return? Or was it your father that works as a janitor there that told you this?

You're calling people out for being dense about certain activities supposedly replacing others and yet you do the same exact thing. How in the world are bail bonds, which are only 4 non repeatable missions, a replacement for 30 most wanted criminals (unrepeatable as well) and recent crimes that are repeatable based on your area? Give me a break.

Bail bonds are a sh*tty, half assed version of RDR's bounties. You can't even physically subdue a target like in RDR.

I remember doing the second one and my car being a 1/4 mile away and thinking to myself "why wouldn't this guy this guy just try and escape?".

Had we had to use a rope or handcuffs at least that would've made sense. If bail bonds are indeed a replacement to vigilante and most wanted missions it's a joke of a replacement.

I'm going to just come right out and say this.

I THINK THE YOGA IS PRETTY GOOD. Yeah. HOW YOU LIKE ME NOW, BITCHES?

If you've ever done yoga, or know someone that has (I haven't, my girlfriend does it) you'll know that it's about moving into and holding positions. The control mechanic they've used is actually pretty clever, and it conveys the method pretty well.

So... f*ck all of you, Yoga FOREVER.

Disagree. You can. I punched every one of them in the back of the head, which subdued them quite effectively. Pretty physical.

Yoga probably didn't "replace" anything, it's just a completely useless activity, especially when you think about what else could have been put in.

Oh good, this thread is about to go full circle and continue to go round and round without any sensible discussion. You don't like Yoga? Don't play with it.

If you're not a f*cking braindead dullard, try it and see if you can appreciate that they've actually captured something quite well - whether  you like it or not. It replaced nothing. They didn't take something out to put it in. They just put it in.

The other stuff, like repeatedly hitting a button to lift a dumbell, didn't make it in because it was sh*t.

I LOVE YOU ALL VERY MUCH BUT I WANT YOU ALL TO STOP REPEATING YOURSELVES.

It's amazing how much you get shot down on this forum for having an opinion. As well captured as Yoga is, it feels like a dull and out-of-place activity in an action game like GTA. That's just the way I see it, but I guess I'm a "dullard" if I think otherwise.
