Hey, first of all I'm terribly sorry for posting something that has probably already been answered, I just don't have the time to search and adapt the solution to my case, I though it would be quicker and painless to ask you guys.

So, I'm having a problem with a legit steam copy of GTA 4, more specifically the latest patch (1.0.7.0).

Maps and objects, npc and stuff don't load, I can see some cars floating, some lamps, some doors and interiors but generally stuff is kinda missing.

I play on a GTX 780, an i5 4670k and 16GB of RAM.

I had to use -availablevidmem 3.0 -nomemrestrict -norestrictions because the game wouldn't recognize my 3GB of VRAM and would lock my settings, leaving me unable to chose them as it's "insufficient".

I'm also running windows 8.1, with all the latest drivers for everything.

Thanks in advance, and hopefully we can solve this.

Oh boy I'm an idiot, I just had to delete the -availablevidmem command, I had a suspicion I got the number wrong and might have accidentally limited the game to use way less memory than necessary for displaying stuff.

Can please one of the mods delete this post?
