Can someone please explain me how to rebuild the gta3.img?

Sorry but I really need to know  :cry:

Click on "Rebuild Archive". It's in almost every IMG editor.

Just use Modloader for christ sake.
Maybe he likes the Old School modding? Just telling. Anyways, it is nice that the Gym things got fixed. :)

There is literally no advantage editing the gta3.img directly unless you really like janitoring it.

I prefer editing the gta3.img file because I'm used to doing it that way. I use ModLoader to add things that I'm not sure about adding in, and if I like them then I add them to my gta3.img file. :D

The DFF needs some editing to fit the new mobile vegetation texture, it's called elmwee_hi.dff if anyone is interested

Jeez, nobody still fixed it, and The HERO's tool can't convert it.

Why does the school medals file has a SCM and Script file as well? What happens if I don't replace my SCM with the one that came in the file?

I'm going to be guessing, but on PC bike school uses driving school medals instead of having own medals. Maybe it fixes this?

Not to mention the egg-shaped medal.

Now, since I think most of porting the stuffs from mobile is done how about adding a preview of the item you are buying? It was the best feature of mobile version (besides reflection and colorcycle).

So I tried looking over mobile files to find out where exactly they stored the additional cars, but so far I had no luck. Binary IPLs are identical and only other place that comes to mind is main.scm which is a mess.

There seems to be same amount of most stuff related to cars

set_parked_car_generator Both 380
init_car_generator Both 199

parked_car_generator_w_numberplate Both 12

 

I am at a loss here. Everything seems to be same. Why would they complicate this?

 

It seems that even though the cars don't park here some of the AI cars are scripted to randomly park here.

I sped the game up so I'm not sure what is that Bravura doing. Also there was a Clover before Hermes just like in the mobile screenshot.

Also I like how CJ's leg is clipping :D

 

So either War Drum broke the AI parking script or they deliberately made the cars already parked rather than using random AI, because as you can see the red Bravura is on both screens as is the CLover before Hermes replaced it. Otherwise I have no idea.  :/
