Other : They hate fun.
I never stored police vehicles, but didn't you have to glitch them in anyway? If that's the case, well it's simple, they don't want you to glitch cars into your garage, not just police vehicles, but any car that's not supposed to be in there. Franklin's Buffalo, Space Hopper, and any other car that isn't supposed to be there will probably be gone tomorrow as well after the update.
If you could store them legit without glitching them in, then I don't know why they'd remove that feature, I'd never store one personally, but I don't have a problem if people want to fill their garage with them. My guess is that they just don't want people pretending to be cops, it takes away the experience a bit when you start a mission that requires killing cops/military and/or drug deals.
Getting them in your garage was a glitch. Forbidding them from being put in normally was a pointless arbitrary restriction which serves no purpose.
I mean the restrictions on premium vehicles make sense as they provide a money sink for high level players. Forbidding PV tanks and jets also makes sense as they're arguably overpowered. But the vast majority of police vehicles were harmless fun (only possible exception is the RiotVan, but I thought that was okay anyway) and it's pretty clear that some people definitely liked having them.
I've yet to see a single compelling argument against normal cop cars being stored in a garage.
- Getting free armour/free carbines has almost no effect on the game's economy or balance.
- "It's unrealistic" is a pathetic argument when players can carry 20 guns and call in tanks on a whim.
Well maybe cop vehicles play a big part in CnC, so they removed PV cop cars as part of their excellent 'balancing the game around features which won't exist for 3 months' philosophy. Because logic.
