I'm saving for things that aren't available yet such as a mansion with a larger garage so i can buy more cars.

i currently have the buzzard, tank, a dashound bus, jet ski, tour van, the 2 passenger plane and a full garage and $8.3M in the bank on my lvl 234. there are things i could buy but i doubt i'd ever use so i don't see the point in buying them in missions and can just steal them in FR if i choose (luxor jet, yacht etc).

Just putting away as much as I can, in preparation for that future long cold winter, when Rockstar nerfs the payouts on everything, and I still need to buy ammo.

Saving for mansions when r* release them, they might cost a couple of millions tho.

Have you thought about how this would even be possible? What if two people buy the same mansion when they're in the same lobby? Apartments are possible because once you're in the building or garage (if it's separate) you never see eachother again. Mansions have open spaces that are visible to the exterior.

They would have to make ALOT of mansions to minimise the chances of two people in the same lobby having the same mansion. Then they would have to set up a rule where you can't join a lobby where someone already has your mansion. That would suck if you and your friend both bought the same mansion and could never be in the same lobby.

I will actually saving up for one of the buses on the Warstock site soon. I think it'd be pretty funny to spawn in those on missions.

Can you have the bus as a personal vehicle that appears at Mission starts? I would assume it's like the Buzzard and Tank, where you have to call Pegasus and it appears at one of the predefinted locations.

It can work exactly as apartments do. Front door/garage teleports you to your own personal space.

I was saving in the hope they add better houses. Blew 2/3 of my money on a JB700 with all mods.

You're probably right, I don't have anything that I would call Pegasus for at the moment so I don't really know how it works. I just remembered some guy spawning in a tank on a mission but only once and it was in the first few weeks of online. It must have been a glitch.

How is it different to people owning the same apartments? They all use the same garages and it doesn't cause any problems, I've seen people driving out of "my" garage as I'm driving in. It would be exactly the same with mansions or houses.

The issue will only be heightened when Heists are released. Assuming they pay out bigger cash amounts, what will it all be for?

Rockstar need to work on apartment customisation, more expensive and unique clothing and accessory items, multiple property purchases, investment in businesses (and the stock market) and other opportunities to spend, invest, become unique and build up a life.

I'm thinking about an idea of having players become other players bosses, issuing custom built missions and paying out the cash for completion, while building a crew-like Empire, but there are a lot of avenues to think through to find a working mechanic for this. However, by having this mentor/mentee/career ladder system, the game can take a great potential future direction.

Agree with most of it. Should add weight training, restaurants, bars like in SA. It make the game more entertaining. One day look like the rock on roids and the next as fat as peter griffin.

I can hardly save any money

I can usually keep my money at a pretty steady number untill I go crazy and get a fully modded bifta or something and than I have to start over

considering only 4 of my 10 cars are fully modded I still have loads of stuff to spend on

have pretty much all I want/need though

Then they would have to set up a rule where you can't join a lobby where someone already has your mansion. That would suck if you and your friend both bought the same mansion and could never be in the same lobby.

I've never really understood this concern. I remember before GTA: Online came out how people argued that it would be impossible to have apartments because two people could choose the same one and that would break the game.

As has been proven, it is entirely possible to own the same apartment as your friend or someone else. It just creates a separate private instance of the building.

Sangers - I understand your need to question the 'open-house mansions' suggestion but I don't think it's utterly impossible. At its crudest level, you could enter the building in the usual way (player marker) and then it could transport you to a private lobby version of the mansion and grounds, with invisible walls preventing you leaving its borders and other players unable to see you. I'm sure there would even be better methods of applying this. My point being, anything could happen with some creativity - and R* have creativity in truck-loads! :p

Hoarding money with no plan.

I bought everything I wanted.  At some point I might get rid of the rare cars I have and buy other ones that I actually enjoy driving.

I also might join the dark side and buy a tank so I can further troll other tanks.  But I'd feel filthy about it.  The kind of filthy that only gets clean by a gasoline fire.

Sangers point is that mansions have an outside. Gardens, swimming pool etc. They wouldn't just be self-contained rooms like apartments - but I still think it'd be possible.

They said that they would be constantly adding new content in the game, a good example is the leaked casino and minigames file.

I think the GTA Online we have now is essentially a beta version for the inevitably superior PC/Next-Gen versions that will likely be out later.

They said that they'd be adding new content, but they haven't been.   That's the MO of a company that recognizes its product isn't worth their time.

Isn't worth their time?  This game is the most successful piece of MEDIA ever. Period.  Not just video games, more profitable than any movie, any record, any piece of art or literature.  Isn't worth their time... pssshhhhh....

Sure, they made a lot of money with the sale of the game.   They're probably losing money running online.

Maybe Rockstar will have a DLC that adds 50 mansions to the map and that's all, and each one is unique and can only be owned by one player at a time.  Talk about a market-driven economy.  These mansions would be selling for $200B glitched dollars, except that the bank account register can't hold more than $2.1B

They aren't going to sell you DLC then make you pay in game money to use it, If mansions are even added (Which they won't be, It wouldn't work fo obvious reasons) then they will be free for everyone just like the Beach Bum pack.
