Zombie DLC: GTA Z

This is my idea of how a Zombie DLC should be done on GTA V for the story mode and online. I believe GTA V has potential to turn any zombie-hater into a fan! If you guys really like the storyline, I can post a storyline with mission details and locations! Enjoy!

Backstory:

Michael is constantly moving his family from safe-zone to safe-zone after his home was destroyed by zombies. Franklin was convinced by Tanisha to find Lamar with the help of Chop and other survivors. After failing to create an antidote on time for Patricia, Trevor is seeking revenge on Martin.

GTA Z online gameplay:

-Zombies have a field of vision as if they were the Los Santos Police. Players can evade zombies by hiding or running away.

-The more zombies killed, the more zombies will appear. Zombie Awareness Levels will increase rather than Wanted Stars.

-Zombies move from slow to medium speed (lite jogging speed) during the day. At night however, zombies can sprint. This will allow players to prepare and plan their every move.

-Running over a zombie damages vehicles. Air and water vehicles will be disabled.

-Zombie attack (when a player is standing): Scratch and push.
-Zombie attack (when a player has fallen): Dig and bite.

-A player can be infected randomly when struck by a zombie (not pushed). Once infected, a player slowly dies as if the player is smoking a cigarette every second.

-All players spawn in the Bolingbroke Penitentiary at the beginning of the session or after they have been killed.

-Players may call Trevor Phillips for a antidote drop if they are infect. The price of an antidote drop should be around $5,000 - $10,000.

-Trevor does random FREE antidote drops rather than supply drops.

-Players can steal candy or snacks from crates found in convenient stores. Snacks can heal more than usual.

Making money in a Online Zombie Session:

-Liquor stores, convenient stores, clothing stores, barber shops, tattoo parlors will be abandoned. Players can take money from cash registers by shooting them. An alarm will be triggered once the cash registers opens. This will attack attention of the zombies.

-Hitch hikers will give money if players agree to escort them to their destination.

-The Military will have random outposts through out San Andreas at night. Players who successful defend the Military Trucks will receive cash. The fewer trucks remaining the less money will be received.

-Random outbreaks will replace random gang attacks.

I hope this is enough for the Rockstar Team to consider my ideas for the Zombie DLC.

God damn it with these zombies, what the f*ck, at first it was the vampire movies, now the zombie era has begun, zombie movies, zombie games, zombie tv series, don't you think that the whole zombie thing is overused and needs to be if not completely, then almost completely forgotten? Seriously, it's everywhere.

Well there are lots of people who really like zombies. You don't have to play the games, watch the movies, or follow the tv series.

But I'd hate to see a DLC for a game that I love to play with a zombies theme. The entertainment industry is overloaded with zombies sh*t. Rockstar have already done a zombies DLC to RDR, so I don't think they'd be dumb enough to do the same thing for GTA V. Also, there's nothing related to zombies in GTA V. It's more likely that we will have a DLC with aliens and UFOs stuff or something related to a prologue for the story.

I actully really disslike zombies, Im glad carma aint going that route nomore.

But theres jsut too much, Zombie games, zombie movies, zombie flash games, zombie this, zombie that its just. It was ok but the massive over saturation has killed it off forever for me, Hell even saints row ended up with zombies, zombies in prototype. godanm zombies everywhere. Atleast to now GTA is Zeefree. yup.

I know people hate DLC here, but if theres gona be any I really hope it will be story driven, Like the balad of gay tony, or the lost and damned. Mabye a short story of a new protag or somethin..

Besides, theres allready a zombie model in game, so when it coems to pc there will probly be zombie mods up the ass.

I'm going to crap on this idea too, it just wouldn't work in the GTA series. It might work in Saint's Row, but not in GTA.

Why? It doesn't affect you in any way, shape, or form.

lolwat? Dumb? RDR UN was insanely popular and sold A LOT. How would it be dumb to make something that is guaranteed to give you massive profits with little work in comparison?

"Also, there's nothing related to zombies in GTA V."

There was also nothing related to zombies in RDR.

Zombies are overused and expected from any major developer.

Besides we all know ALIENS is the new gimmick lazy developers love to exploit!

If done right, it could be freaking amazing. Simply because the world is so detailed and it would bring a whole new atmosphere to it. In Saints Row it was complete sh*t because the city was bland and had no soul, hell, the zombies we're just aggressive reskins of civilians, they roamed on sidewalks only (Lazy). The only other game I played which had this level of detail in its environments was The Last Of Us but it wasn't an open world so it counts for nothing. I'd cream my pants if I would get to see a Post-apocalyptic Los Santos.

Edit: UFO's and aliens ? Now that's some Saints Row caliber bullsh*t. You guys are saying you'd prefer Laser guns, little green men and flying saucers over Zombies just because the entire media is focused on that and you don't like that because its considered mainstream ? Please, whatever R* does, never use Aliens as a DLC. Ever.

I'm all for zombie DLC. I loved Undead Nightmare. I would say UN was more fun for me than the actual Red Dead game. As much as people hate on zombies, that sh*t sells for a reason. People love it!

I would add to the OP's list:

- Missions to save NPCs (online you can join random or roll with your crew. Just like joining missions)

- Supply runs, escort missions, clear out infestations.

- zombie/post apocalypse car mods (cattle catchers, spikes, steel armor. Think Mad Max)

- zombie/post apocalypse clothing and haircuts.

- safe zones/camps to buy supplies, clothes, car mods. The lab, a few blocks in Los Santos, etc.

I would gladly pay $15 for zombie DLC. I love it.

People are foolish if they believe Rockstar wont go this route. I GUARANTEE we will see a zombie mode especially since one of the main guys from Rockstar said he would love to have zombies in all of their games cuz they are a big seller and GTA 5 would be perfect for it. Bottom line is it makes Rockstar alot of money and if you dont like it then dont buy it period.

I feel that GTA will need, a special kind of weird thing.

Giant caterpillars. They will eat you whole.

Every 10 ingame days, a giant caterpillars turns into a flying monstrous butterfly, that will shoot venom from it's teeth (like a a slow missle) and if you have a rocket launcher, you can blow the venom up to help keep you alive.

UN was a great DLC! It was the best zombie game IMO! GTAV is the perfect setting for an open world zombie game. I don't think I'm asking to much with my ideas either

I'm sorry, but who here can explain to me just what is so popular about having a bunch of moaning characters chase you? I don't get this zombie craze whatsoever, it's been completely dried out, so many games have this feature just because "hur dur zombies", it's old, repetitive, and boring, much like most of the modern day video game industry, they release the same thing over and over, and don't support DLC, it's a scam. I honestly don't see how zombies can be fun in a game, it may be at first, but you will realise that you can only keep doing the same thing over and over, so it will get boring really quickly.

Oh, and GTA V can only handle about 20 pedestrians before it lags, it will freeze when it gets to 25 or so, which means you would be in some empty world with barely anything around you.

Some DLC is a scam, but how can you say DLC like UN is a scam?

And the reason why people like it is because they like it. Why do people like Anime porn or whatever they have these days. Why do people like fighting games? Preference. Don't mistake stupid, rushed zombie games for fleshed out and good ones.

DayZ, State of Decay (What could've been), etc.

I had a zombie idea, instead of having the whole map filled with zombies, how about a massive cruise ship that has been over run?

That way people don't have to do the zombie thing if they don't want to, and the cruise ship could be large enough to have a decent sized survival against them.
