I've had a look through the forums but could not find a relating topic, if there is one and i've missed it, i do apoligise.

With Rockstar saying they still have 40 more years of ideas, what would you like to see for the next installment?

- more grand theft auto ~ seems logical, you can only have so much of a story line regarding the stealing of cars, maybe have the option to sell to LSC or take to the docks for export

- multiple cities ~ the option to either fly or drive across a huge bridge over a canyon to another city and extend the story line, LS is a great city, its also a great idea to have it set on an island

- characters ~ keep Franklin, maybe get him involved with previous games characters to link up the series

- cost of necessities ~ clothing is far too expensive, so is the cost of an extending gun cartridge when the cost of the gun is a 3rd of the price, bring costs down to realistic measures

- more cars ~ Pagani Zonda, Chrysler 300 to return, more american muscle cars like the Plymouth or Camaro

- movie cars ~ with full customs packs available to buy at LSC

(this post is regarding single player, not online)

are there any Rockstar representatives on here who can comment?

Countries with borders. Will be fun getting a 5 star wanted level for driving past the checkpoint without paying or passports etc.

That is something that could be very easily achieved. I have no doubt that on the next generation of consoles, Rockstar could create a world 3 times as big as GTA V's. Therefore they could create a map with two large cities and even larger countryside/desert areas. One could be in America and the other could be in Mexico, complete with a border spanning the entire width of the map and to cross that border illegally would result in the highest wanted level. It would also introduce better drug trafficking opportunities with greater potential profit to the GTA series.

As for OP's post, I agree with most of what you said. Except for the character one, I do agree that keeping some characters would be cool, but Franklin? Seriously? I don't hate him, I like him, but he is one of the less interesting characters as far as I'm concerned.

Now for a few of my ideas for GTA VI:

I for one think that single player should be the utmost focus of GTA VI and that all attention by the main creator of GTA should be devoted towards it. Perhaps contract the online aspect to a different division of Rockstar Games.

I think that being able to run your own business would be amazing. By business, I mean a front for all your criminal activities. You should be able to start your own gang, and rise to the point where you have control of your very own cartel (referencing my Mexico/America idea).

I think that the military should also return. I know Rockstar has been striving for a realistic tone, but video games aren't mean't to mirror real life to the very detail. Some wouldn't agree, but if you're looking for a real life simulator, maybe GTA isn't for you. Tanks shouldn't come after you even on a 6 star wanted level until you have committed enough destruction and mayhem. So until that point, you would be pursued by Humvee's/Jeeps as well as roadblocks of the Barracks (GTA's military truck) and soldiers armed with M16's, as well as a military chopper. But the tanks would come one at a time, to keep some semblance of balance.

These are just a couple of my ideas.

For the record, anybody who writes that "Too long; Didn't read" rubbish to my post is a first class c*nt. This post doesn't even take 5 minutes to read, so either you're lazy or you're just a retard. Simple as that. I know what some of you are like.

thanks for the feedback, interesting thoughts.

Regarding Franklin, reason why i nominated him, is taking into account the story line of 5, pointing more to the mission of having to kill Michael or Trevor, i'm guessing many people decided on killing one or the other, it would seem odd to then use them in the follow up game.

Don't get me wrong, Michael is my favourite character, and i do agree Franklin doesn't offer much, but taking into consideration his age and back ground, i think he would be the most suitable candidate out the three of them.

I want to be able to earn money via lawsuit.

If they truly want to mimic American culture, I should be able to have a lawsuit against the police for shooting me when all I did is assault someone while unarmed.

What if I slip and fall....accidently....in a store? That's worth 50 grand at Walmart if you are injured. They already have the gameplay mechanic in place where your character falls when trying to walk down stairs and other slopes. Using that to trip over a box of cereal shouldn't be hard.

-More cars

-Be able to modify airplanes, boats and houses [ for example buy our own TV, your own bed it could be realistic^^ ]

-Again 3 characters [ I think it is great to have 3 characters but no more...It would be weird to handle 4 or 5 charactes I think 3 is pretty good]

-More story mode [ Missions in all Rockstar games are amazing and we would like to see more than 69 missions and more side-missions]

-Do heists whenever you can/want and not only in story mode...6 heists are not much of filling the player's occupattions

-More options to edit your cars, motorbikes and Mobiles

-More hairstyles,beards and tattos

-I want to see connection between GTA V story mode and GTA 6's storymode

That's from me let's share our options :santa:

How about a new city other than LS, VC or LC? These cities have been great in the past games but why not go for something new? How about Chicago, DC, or Philadelphia? Or Moscow, Paris or London. Lots of options besides the same three cities over and over.

I like the idea of larger maps or multiple cities but it may not be practical. Just because a next Gen gaming system makes something possible doesn't mean it is practical for a game company to do it. A larger game requires more time and more money to produce. Unless GTA fans are willing to send more $ or have compromises elsewhere in the game, I don't see larger maps in the future ...

Vice city and a uk island.

A story where you end up flying to vc and meeting tommy vercetti who is now an elderly mafia don.

And get rid of the sh*t like car clumping and stuff vanishing etc

If there was no glitches in 5 it would be perfect.

I don't think he'd really be considered elderly yet. I read somewhere that his birth-date is 1951, so he would only be 62 as of this year. Not even hit retiring age yet.

- Have one character. You get to know them and you do all the work anyway so having other playable characters is redundent.

- Get back to basics of less is more. Just have heaps of main missions and no useless side strangers or friends missions.

- Give back bowling and take away yoga.

- Create more ways to kill. In Vice City Stories you could snap necks.

- Have the missions gel more with each other so it seems you are getting somewhere upon completing them.

- Just have Pass or Fail for each mission, not 100% stats.

- Make flying like it used to be.

- Let me go into fast food places and hotels and nightclubs again.

- Make weapons better. You don't need five types of the same category of weapon. GTA3/Vice City was fine.

- Make the games more about fun then reality. I got bored faster with GTA5 then I did with GTA3 and Vice City even though they are much smaller.

I think GTA VI being based in Moscow would be awesome. Apartment building, snowy weather, the subway, aggressive drivers and people pick pocketing you.

I'd love Vice City, complete with swamp land small towns and such. Then a second island below based of Cuba, could make for a very interesting story.

Hitchhiking.

Yeah, an odd request for a game largely based stealing/jacking cars. But I think it'd be fun to have random events that come to you in the form of drivers who stop to pick you up.

I think the way releases are managed needs to change. Creating one single game and its map every five or so years is ok but I'd prefer an annual update mechanism whereby an original game is released in Year 1 with an initial map area. Then in subsequent years they add to the map and content with a new portion of the overall R* 'globe', new missions etc. over the course of the PS4/XBox1's lifespan. As the fundamental tooling should be in place it would only need that additional lump adding on and would create a more aligned universe. This could be in the form of DLC and as the capacities of the next generation of hardware is quite large, this is where I envisage a lot of developers taking their games.

They also really need to step up the immersiveness and depth especially with NPC's. I appreciate the limits were probably reached with the PS3/360 hardware but I'm hoping we see a bit of a revolution along the lines of what I've listed above.

A better story line would be nice.  I really liked the story of IV, but V was a bit weak at tims and convoluted.  For me, V with IV's story would be pretty much the ideal GTA game.

I liked the idea of multiple playable characters.  We had the boring has-been backstabber, a young guy trying to be a success and a loveable psycho who comes through for his friends.  Good mix of personalities and the right number.  Anymore could end up getting confusing.  So I hope this reappears in GTA VI.

More tracks on each radio station and/or the option to download music either to add to a radio station or a characters phone.

Chop has to return along with the further wiping out of The Lost.

Trevor returning would be awesome but that would be a bit weird after some players choices......

Finding out that Michael and his vile family are in the poor house without a penny to their name.

More building interiors and the ability to go back into buildings outside of missions.

Not sure about a larger map.  Depends how they went about it as you don't really want to spend hours driving from one mission to the next.

Either get rid of the mountain lions or at least allow you to defend yourself against one.  It really annoys me how an encounter with one means certain death.  I'd sooner take my chances with a stun gun going against a rhino tank!

A jetpack that exists rather than just a crude picture to trick everyone into thinking there is one and getting them to explore the map that way.  GTA IV made you want to play the missions so you could get to the other islands without having the police on your tail.  It didn't need to try and fool the player.

I want it to come out next year on Xbox360 or only once the Xbox One is affordable!

I know a lot of people will disagree with me, so just bear with me for a moment here.

These are a few of my ideas:

1. A map across the entire United States and parts of Canada and Mexico.

I know this might be an impossible feat, but there is a racing game coming in 2014 that crosses the entire US. But, if it was possible, it would provide awesome opportunities for epic missions, and just the idea of being able to drive from Mexico to Canada is just epic to me.

2. Semi Truck ownership and Customization

I was disappointed in IV when you couldn't attach trucks to trailers. In V, you can do that no. It's just awesome taking a whole truck and going on a rampage across San Andreas. But, I was a bit disappointed when you couldn't customize or buy trucks and trailers in V. I would like to be able to customize a semi truck, with options such as:

-2, 4, or 6 axle chassis configurations

-Day-cab or Sleeper Cab

-Bull-bars, Bumpers, and Fenders

-Cargo-Specific Attatchments, such as a head-ache rack for log trailers

And other options, such as the customization system in Euro Truck Simulator 2.

3. Driveable Trains and Controllable Tracks!

This is one of my major WANTS for the Grand Theft Auto 6 game, if there will be one. I want to be able to not only drive trains, but be able to attach or detach other locomotives or rail cars, de-rail trains, and sabotage trains so I can send them onto a dead end track or something like that.

4. More gun customizations!

Ok. Some people will disagree with me on this one. But I thnk gun customization in GTA V was rather feeble. I want a customization system somewhat like this example:

AK47 - $1,080

AK47 Customization Options:

Sights:

EOTech Holo Sight: $400

ACOG Sight: $500

Red Dot Sight: $200

Barrel:

Heavy Barrel: $500

R2 Surpressor: $200

PBS-4 Surpressor: $300

Misc Attachments:

Under-barrel Rail: $100

Side Rail: $100

Top Rail: $100

Bottom Rail:

Foregrip: $99

M203 G-nade Launcher: $500

GP-25 G-nade Launcher: $400

Side Rail:

Laser Sight: $400

Flashlight: $300

Clip:

60 Rnd Mag: $100

100 Rnd Mag: $300

Ammo:

7.62 Ammo x 30: $50

7.62 Armor Piercing Ammo x 30: $100

7.62 Flaming Ammo x 30: $200

7.62 Explosive Ammo x 30: $300

Camo:

Default

Woodland

Desert

Urban

Hex

Tiger

You get the idea here. I hope.
