Only if lock on SAM missiles are given to the people on the ground.

lol no. buzzard is already really powerful lock on would make it stupid easy for any noob to use. what it needs it non auto lock on cops mode.

I want an option to have it stop locking on police... too many times I've tried to lock on another guy with a Buzzard and my chopper is like "NUH-UH, NOT TODAY" and locks on every Police it sees instead of the player. It becomes especially annoying with 3+ star Wanted level...

It's easy enough without auto lock with its big ass splash dmg....

 

Can't even kill a single player if the missile lands a meter away from their feet. The splash damage is non-existent.

That happens because there´s not drop for the cannon fire. it just goes straight on till they reach their max range. So it´s really easy to aim, plus there´s the mega short reload time if you miss.

 

Right now tanks have the upper hand on choppers by a country mile which is nonsense.

 

Choppers should have range advantage and destroy them easily in the open. Tanks should have to trust in cover in the city to make the chopper come close and stand a chance.

They just need to improve the aiming system. Hitting a moving target is extremely difficult when you have to constantly adjust the buzzards angle plus when you miss you have to circle around again.

If the buzzard is dearer than the tank then you should be able to cause a similar amount of destruction. Buzzards are extremely easy to take down, no pilot has ever killed me more than 3 times in a row, tanks on the otherhand....

Shouldn't autoaim to anything - nor should jets. I hate when I've chosen my target and the missiles start flying off at the nearest random whatever they've locked on to.

Don´t agree. Hitting people with missiles is not hard at all. Machine guns are a different story.

 

Adding some small explosive damage area would do it. Both for buzzard and annihilator (useless right now). Also Annihilator should resist a lot of bullets, while Buzzard shouldn´t. it´d be balanced and there would be a reason to use both of them.

Agree. It's extremely annoying, almost cries out for police attention. 

 

Maybe they shouldn't go as far as auto-locking on a pedestrian, but definitely another player's vehicle.

Buzzard isn´t as much of a terrorific view. Guy on ground is smart and has a mini-gun = you´re dead.

they could disable the rocket going in curves so that it goes straight,I don't think it would negate then

No, they shouldn't lock on. And I agree that them locking on to every police vehicle I come across couldn't be more annoying. 

 

 

I think the only things we should be able to lock on to are other helicopters, planes, and tanks. It would add some nice balance to the game if they locked onto tanks, tank griefers the world over would begin to sob uncontrollably when they discover that anybody rank 30 or higher only needed to travel to the nearest helicopter spawn in order to destroy them.

what's the point in locking on if the rocket is going to go in a straight line anyway? :S

just try blowing up cop cars for a few minutes and than imagine blowing up players would be just as easy.
it would ruin the game

besides it's fun bounty hunting with the buzzard as is.
just yesterday I raced towards a bounty and as I got there 2 other players were closing in.I was only gonna get 1 chance and with a single rocket I took that bounty right from under their noses before proceeding to kill them both with some really fancy aerial manouvres (basically weaving all over the place trying to line up a shot)
wouldn't be half as much fun if I could have just locked on and blown them up

Yes, this. Given the ridiculously easy aim and quick reload for the Rhino's cannon, it seems only fitting that the Buzzard's rockets should lock on to it.

Yes, this. Given the ridiculously easy aim and quick reload for the Rhino's cannon, it seems only fitting that the Buzzard's rockets should lock on to it.


this actually makes sense
IMO a player on foot or in a car has a fighting chance against buzzards
tank vs buzzard seems to really favor the tank so a lock on on tanks could straighten this out
