Maybe a way to stop all this crap on the forums? Before they post worse stuff and scar us all?

I like the idea, is it possible to do though?  Not really familiar with coding.

I don't think this will be an option admins would want to do..

Not everyone posts spam, pornography or meme's.. so to punish the decent members because of bad members is a bit too much. But even if you were to allow newly registered members to have a certain post limit before posting images doesn't mean anything, they will post to get the required amount of posts and then start posting offensive material (if that's their intent). I do like the moderation before posting but again, that's too much extra work and would be something else some of you would complain about if we didn't approve one of your posts that contained an image quick enough.

The method we have now works just fine and that's why we have a report feature. Just report it..

IMO, no it doesn't work just fine if the past few days are any indication in certain areas. Peole (probably bots) sign up to post images?

That's a problem. I wouldn't mind having to get X actual posts to get access to images in posts and having certain areas (the whole of off topic for example) not contribute to post count.

For instance I could join and need 5-10 posts, the first 5 or 10 would be mod reviewed.

After that any images in a post from that user would need mod approval to show, ese they'd be just the link displayed as text.

As for the people whining they can't have it both ways and I feel something has to change to be honest. Whether it's more mods or changes to images in posts I don't know.

It'd kind of ruin concept threads and threads that have their own banners, signatures as well.

Mod reviewership over anything is hell for users, and double hell for mods I'd imagine. It'd take weeks to get through all those posts, even if all they had to do was click an approve button. Right now people on this site are pretty good at figuring out who's constantly a troll, and catching them early. (And then pointing it out in every single thread they post in. :rol: )
