I'm drinking a 40 oz bud ice. I like the beer but the 6 and 12 packs sell so poorly they're always old and taste awful. Also, it's cheap.

I do have some regular bud in bottles but it's not cold.

Nah dude, ghetto beer is that Hurricane abomination. Drank it once and literally puked.

At the moment, I'm drinking Busch Light again.

I had to look up Hurricane, if they sell it here I must have not noticed it. (In my search I found a malt liquor fan site ha!)

I saw there is a grape flavored steel reserve now. I was tempted to try it but my temporary insanity passed.

Off to the store to grab some Budweiser in a sec.

Hurricane is pretty bad but it is not the worst malt liquor. It has a wide mouth bottle , which the others don't have, so it goes down faster .I think Olde English is probably the worst.

No reason to drink any of that unless you are a broke teenager.

Nice. Nothing beats a sweet Remy Martin to take the edge off. My old man cuts my balls off for drinking brandy with ice, but it just seems much more enjoyable to me.

I never understood why people water down fine liquor with ice cubes and I have literally cringed when my shooting buddies fill a tumbler of scotch to the brim with ice and nurse their drinks so slowly it becomes mostly water. But hell, if that's how you enjoy it go for it.

Shaking stuff over ice is fine, I can't think of anything I actually drink on ice though.

On my first glass(of the night) of Root and ginger ale over ice.

So what exactly is this stuff? (yes Google is my sponsor, but I'd rather get a drinkers take!)

Exactly what my dad says. I'm not sure honestly, it's just that clinky chime the glass makes when sipping down; makes it feel somewhat more 'valued' in a weird way. Though I do enjoy nursing it and savouring every smooth drop...unless I'm downing it to get drunk - which I'd never spend £30+ on a bottle to do so in the first place.

Have you ever had a rootbeer soda?  Root is made the same way as traditional rootbeer soda except there is a moment when it gets distilled into 40% of goodness.

It is pretty sweet and aside from the high alcohol content it could fall into a dessert or schnapps as far as taste and sweetness.

When mixed with ginger ale there is pretty much no alcohol taste and you might think you are drinking a standard rootbeer soft drink.  It is also fun to make rootbeer floats with.

'rootbeer' is something I'm not too familiar with here in the UK (or at least in Scotland) and something I've never really looked into, strangely, but I'm assuming it's something in the same family as stout or shandy?

As for ginger ale: my folks love that stuff, but I have a tad dislike for that sh*t, to put it politely. But then I'm always open for taste when it comes to trying out a new alcoholic beverage!

You've never had rootbeer? It's a soda drink, normally non alcoholic. It used to be made from Sasparillo root but now it's mostly artficially flavored.

It is delicious.

Edit: OT I am being told it goes very good with Rumchada, a rum and cream mix.

Nice, Sivis.. I've always enjoyed some good ol Kentucky bourbon a time or two.. just drink it responsibly!

I'm dipping into a jar of illegal spirits.. since someone reminded me of it. (cough, panz, cough)

@Sivis, dont get drunk and ban me though.. look elsewhere, take this as drunken reminder #1.
