I don't often post in this section because of the spam, the trolls and general idiocy of the majority of the posters that tend to just post gifs or memes.

But I just wanted to inject some positivity for a change about GTA Online.

I might be one of few, but I'm really enjoying the game. Of course it's not complete yet, but that is what makes it so good, it's going to be continuously built upon, and the foundations for this, the map; is absolutely perfect.

Everyone complains about stuff getting nerfed, payouts get cut and the cash cards, but seriously, I don't mind it taking longer to earn stuff, and generate cash, I want it to feel well earned when I buy car that is ridiculously over priced, that gives a sense of achievement.

It took me at least 3 years of playing GTA IV to reach Level 10, did I just play Hangman's NOOSE to achieve this? Did I hell! It was a journey, and I enjoyed it, a hell of a lot more than grinding stuff.

So above all else, I just wanted to say to everyone, it's not a race to becoming a millionaire, a highly ranked minigun toting grinders and Big thanks to Rockstar for creating such a brilliant world, it's not perfect yet but it has the potential to be so.

I also am enjoying the game, it has its moments that make me want to throw it out the window but, I just keep playing or switch to a different game for awhile.

Modern youth want instant-gratification. They just want the rewards, not the work. That's why the western world is f*cked.

The Western World bought this on themselves. Capitalism bought this on itself. The whole thing is a sham. Thanks to them, it makes the working class feel inferior (When they are by far the most important class) and it makes the middle class feel out of place and the upper class feel that they can sh*t on us all but for a fact if we, the working class all woke up and said 'f*ck it, I am not doing this anymore' the whole country would collapse.

It's not the fact the youth want 'instant-gratification' as you put it, it's the fact they want to accomplish something in a capitalist society which prizes itself on stamping down people's dreams and stopping them from accomplishing anything.

I also think that people that play the game solo are missing out on alot. I enjoy playing the game by my lonesome, but when I have friends on and we are running together it just makes it that much better.

Yeah because people get to accomplish a whole lot in places like Cuba and North Korea don't they

Instant gratification culture has less to do with capitalism and more to do with the breakdown of values...watch MTV once in awhile...it's all narcissism, each person believing they are the centre of the universe.   Maybe that's why on GTAO people say "it's MY game and *I* can play it how *I* want", with complete disregard to whether they would have an unfair advantage over others by glitching/cheating/modding.

Didn't expect this topic to get this deep.

But good to know I'm not alone in enjoying this game, and my approach to it; is shared by a few :^:

I'm enjoying it too, but the payouts are still too low.

What about if they release mansions worth like $5m on the Lenny Avery site? I don't know about you but I'd kinda like to be earning money a little bit faster than I am right now if that happens.

Hopefully by the time they release content like this, they'll have also released more content that increases monetary gain.

And yeah I play the game for enjoyment as well, haven't been disappointed so far. I agree there are some times where the game can be infuriating, but its an online game and you're dealing with other people, so it's to be expected.

I wonder if the reason a lot of kiddies complain about the game is because they don't grasp the concept that everybody else in the game is on their own terms and thus uncontrollable? You might actually have to work to get some kills or make some money, rather than a lot of games where they just hand them to you.

It's a shame that most people just want to rush through everything and get right to the reward.  It's all about the journey, not the destination.

I too am enjoying the game and the current pace of earning, sometimes I'll play for a couple of hours and not even attempt to earn anything. I just enjoy driving my cars around a beautiful map and seeing what other players are getting up to.

I'd say it is good, but slicing the mission payouts was a big mistake!

Same here, except most of the players tend to think anyone approaching is going to hostile so shoot first !

That's what I like about this game, the freedom. I just wish there were a few more modes to cater to this, exploration and knowledge of the map.

Now that I have grinded and farmed and been miserable in GTA0 long enough to get access to a helicopter and the sub, I have slowed down to smell the roses and explore,  And I agree, almost every surface, every scene, every place is designed with tender loving care and i all looks beautiful.  So I am enjoying that aspect of the game, as I hoped I would.

EDIT:  I usually play Solo since the GTA0 crowd is so degenerate.

I am of the same mind as you OP. Unfortunately, we live in a generation in which everyone wants everything instantly, without working for it. The majority of people I've seen complaining are people who have glitched billions, bought everything then wondered why they were bored.

Once you've got everything you've ever wanted, what more is there to do?

I love it. Freeroam is where I am at. Rarely do missions or race etc unless the mood takes me. I genuinely think freeroam is awesome. I always finish off back at the apt. More often than not it'll take me an hour to eventually get there once I decide enough is enough. Something always happens. Not a bit bored and things can only improve...maybe :)

even without glitching, i think one would get bored of farming underpayed missions for overpriced crap, such as paintjobs

if anything, glitching money made the game more fun for me, as i don't have the time to do the same race/mission over and over.

goodluck finding variety in races though

Same here.

I play to have fun, not budget and grind. That may be fine for kids, but I get enough of that sh*t in real life.

after being shot over and over on my bicycle and at the end get it destory few days before,

I decidied to play alone now in a invite only game.

in there, I can use my character riding my race bike and go around the place without being shot at

(yeah, I am a monster, I play a female character, and ride bicycle with bikini ONLY, bite me  )

and I had great time playing at the bowl with my friend with BMX in last weekend.

I guess I will keep it that way, playing mainly in a invite only game...

>implying that the western world is capitalist (corporate welfare and bank bailouts would not happen in a capitalist system)

>implying that an economic system reflects societal values (that has more to do with law, education and parenting, IMO, though it's certainly an arguable point)

Pretty much all western countries are a mixture of capitalism and socialism, even.... *Gulp*.... 'Murica, it's just that your average American is tooooooo stupid and uneducated to know that.

Please ignore the idiot above me.

Anyways, I agree 100%. Especially from the audio clips found in game files that point to the Casino opening for sure, drug dealing and possibly owning and investing in other properties. I wasn't a big fan of GTA IV's MP, but I gotta say V's has been the complete opposite, despite the flaws.

Also the biggest thing, CnC may be coming back and with a big overhaul. No matter what we do or don't get, the game isn't halting anytime soon and as long as Rockstar keeps adding to GTA:O I will have a reason to keep coming back.

Yep I'm enjoying it as well. I somehow find appeal in the contrast between cooperating with others to do missions vs getting vengeance against those who kill me in free roam.

Every time I play the game I always notice some new minor detail which makes me think "damn, they really put the effort into this".

Yes, there were problems at first with the servers, but that is understandable - over time, with the release of PS4 and other new games such as CoD, there will be less and less people playing GTAO, so why over-buy the servers to start with?

I think they are ironing things out now and the stretch down the road is pacing themselves with releases here and there. They are making us wait for heists, because if that was released from the beginning, everyone would be bored of the game now.

Most of the reason I post in a lot of meme's and gifs because I do actually like the game and there are too many people bitching about sh*t.

Missions... Ya... Its GTA.. Go there.. Kill that... Get this.. Run from cops... Escape!!! get to extraction.... ok!??! most RPGS dont have the escape part... SKYRIM was go there... kill everything... backtrack through empty level.... every GTA before this one was go here... kill that... get that... peace...

Heists... how are Heists any different than the hella complicated late game missions... I had one where we had to go hack a computer while hordes of dudes raided us then we had to go to a hanger and steal a copter.... epic heist sh*t no? Especially on Hard with free aim... What are people just grinding this sh*t on easy with free aim by them selves running in and killing everything..?

Alot of these missions need prep! When my friends and I play we get together and talk about the missions before we play them... Where to locate the helicopter.. who is driving, who is flying... plan A B and hell... C is usually every man for himself then meet up at the rondevu....

~ Free roam... How can you not have fun with free roam? Just getting 4 dudes together and getting in a maaad police chase or bounty is fun in itself... Theres way too much to do in free roam...

Maybe I just smoke too much hash when I play this game and people who dont smoke cant have fun with it. But I highly doubt that.
