I missed the more hardcore, gritty, mafia atmosphere of LC and Alderney.
I missed the variety of music IV had on the airwaves. The hardcore rap music, R&B, Jazz music, even Death Metal of all things ♥♥♥

I missed going to The Lost Clubhouse to watch the Biker Strippers after a hard day of killing Deadbeats

I missed the aiming sensitivity. GTA IV's free aim was three times (literally) as sensitive on 50% as V's free aim on 100%, practically forcing us to cheat and use autoaim

I missed the Interiors, such as going into the Dukes hospital and start a f*cking rampage.

I missed Playboy X's penthouse

I missed Dwayne's backup

And more....

Well look at what we had in IV:

- Grand Eastern Terminal - Airport Station, bigger than that.
- Laundromatts scattered around the map - If I remember there were only two, they were in Hove beach only -
- TW@ Internet Cafes - I have mobile internet so its really useless to have these.
- Multiple burger shots around the city - 3 Liquor Stores
- Two Cluckin Bell stores - 19 24/7s
- The warehouse in Tudor - The OP Post warehouse
- The Warehouse at the Boker Naval Yard - Devin Weston's hangar
- The abandoned casino in Alderney - Merryweather still
- Two Irish Bars - Were the same thing, just in different locations, I like to go to the Strip Club so I can buy drinks.
- The underground parking garage near middle park - The Rockford Hills Plaza Parking garage plus the one near the Arcadius center
- The multistory car park in Purgatory - The Multistory car park
- The Homebrew Café -
- Bowling Alleys - If I remember there was only one, then in EFLC another one was added with air hockey, anyways - I dunno,
- The multistory car park in Alderney - The Pillbox hill multistory car park
- Tons upon tons of enerable apartment complexes through Bohan, North Algonquin and Alderney - Those were just stairs, i'd rather use the fire escapes
- Two Perseus Stores - Three Poisonbys
- The Russian Shop - Five Binco Shops
- Modo - Like four Suburbans
- An entire project building in North Holland (was still accesible following A Long Way to Fall) - 97 Stories just for a small room and a rooftop. Yay
- The loby of PBX's loft (could still be entered even if you killed Dwayne) - Okay I guess
- The home just down the block from Packie's - The abandoned motel in Sandy Shores
- The construction site in Dukes - I have the construction site Downtown LS, the ones in Vespucci, the one in Vinewood/Rockford, the several construction places around the Rockford plaza.

Way more interiors than GTA V did, plus they were all a hell of a lot more fun the mess around in too

IV's interiors became dull after a while, most of them were lifeless or were really boring.

I'd rather go to the Fort Zancudo ATC than a TW@ cafe.

My goodness, I have never seen someone try so hard in my life.

Much of the locations you have listed in defence are absolutely redundant (i.e. parking garages, empty warehouses and copy/paste interiors), and some of your defences make no sense at all (Multiple burger shots around the city - 3 Liquor Stores = apples and oranges comparison).

As always, Quality > Quantity. IV takes the cake!

I think it kills some inside knowing GTA IV does indeed have its strengths over GTA V. Too bad they wont admit it.

I'm not sure whether it's people's nostalgia, them excpecting it to have some stupid character customisation or just the fact Niko isn't some youthful African American man from the ghetto, but people on these forums (or maybe just the general gaming population) can't accept that IV did bring positive movement to the series.

You weren't talking like if it was your lone opinion, you were talking like if it was a fact that LC was 24/7 filled with people doing several different activities.

Regarding Interiors there are quite a lot such as

- The Pacific Standart Bank

- Fleeca Banks scaterred 'round the map

- 24/7s

- The heavily detailed strip club with different and unique faces.

- The Sandy Shores Bar

- Ammunations with or without shooting Ranges

- Barber Shops

- The Bugstars Warehouse

- The Merryweather Warehouse

- The Mission Row PD which is the counterpart of IV's hospitals

- Smoke on the Water Weed shop in Vespucci Beach

- Los Santos Custom garages

- Personal Garages

- Tattoo Parlors

- The Fort Zancudo ATC

- Devin Weston's Hangar

- The Kortz Center

All of them being always accesible during freeroam, so saying that there is a general lack of interiors is plain bullsh*tting in my eyes.

You really are a laughing stock right now bro. It has been been clearly pointed out to you with facts that GTA IV has considerably more accessible interiors than GTA V. Trying to still gallantly defend V on this issue is pointless and stupid. You're only gonna keep making yourself look stupid. Mate, like you I wanted V to smash IV in every way, but it juts did not happen like that. There is no denying that GTA IV had much more interiors, and this is IV alone. Imagine the comparison with the Episodes too ? V just dropped the ball in this area, end of. You can keep writing in Italics all you want, it's not gonna change anything.

Take of your RDF uniform for a hot minute and just face the facts.

I miss:

- Option to leave car without turning it off.

- Interiors from IV but also like ones in V

- Penthouses on Downtown. I like save houses in V also though.

- Big city feel on Star Junction and southern Alqonquin. Although Los Angeles doesn't got same kind of feeling IRL so it isn't R* fault.

- Restaurants

- Niko's story

- Single Player focused

- More diverse and unique neighborhoods with different etnics and gangs.

- Larger subway system

- Some old cars.

I don't miss

- Cops, they were dump on IV and I like V's cops more

- Vehicle storing system

- Bad quality graphics compared to V

- Lagging more than V on consoles at least

Dude that's not even a quarter of the interiors in IV, I have videos (in my signature) showing every single one in each island, and there's at least 100. In V I don't think there's even 15.

From IV I miss:
The Interiors

The fact that you can actually do parkour

The physics

The car damage & driving physics

Ped damage system

Gritty atmosphere

The storyline

The music

So much nostalgia from that game. The only thing I prefer in V are the weapons and vehicles.

Most of the missing things are very well covered above by others.
However I miss how 4 has a good decent story and cool DLC's as an added bonus to top it.

@SonOfLiberty

I liked GTA IV, but then again the atmosphere gave me a damn headache and the story was rather ''Okay son, you have to steal a Police car and pull over 3 vans, they'll never suspect anything about a Yugoslavian/Serbian War veteran Pulling them over in plain clothes'' the rest was good but not really much in my eyes.

Other times I would find myself shooting someone with a combat shotgun in the chest then he would just get up limping somewhere then falling down again.

IV was a masterpiece back then and it was really great but there were a lot of flaws with it too.

@OfficialGeneral

Facts, which facts? The fact that you din't like the game because they turned into direction of being ordered by Federal Agents?

Or just because Franklin didn't really have a reason to start gang wars and most of the times they were going after Lamar and not The Families in General?

V  might not have a lot of Free Roam accesible interiors but they are even better than what you got in IV, well atleast some of 'em.

@TaazR

I counted around 83 including Common interiors, nice videos btw.

@ Tenxax

Nope, none of that.

My personal dislike of the GTAV's story and my personal disappointment that Franklin had no gang war side missions have nothing to with the fact that the game has a low number of accessible interiors. I'm not talking about the story or gang wars at this moment, I'm talking about the number of interiors. You're just trying to deflect attention from the fact that you have no argument, by bringing up unconnected subjects into this. I'm genuinely annoyed that V did not have enough interiors and even less than IV, think what you want. Facts is facts.

The one thing I agree with you on is the convenience stores in V, that was one nice pro. I really wish IV had interiors for them.

I dreamt of playing pool and bowling with my friends in GTA V. Then we realized theres no bowling or pool, which is extremely stupid.

How can you say the interiors, despite how fewer there are, are better than those in IV. I mean this is in fact strictly opinion based, but isn't it fun to just be able to walk into a bowling alley and let the lead fly onto the innocent bystanders, as opposed to walking into a Fleeca bank where you can only draw a gun when wanted?

So you couldn't just play golf and tennis with your friends, which are larger, more fleshed out, and (in my opinion) more fun sports games?

Well whatever floats your boat I guess.

Would you rather have the lobby of a Hotel than the Air Control Tower for a Military Base?

I guess not.

''Okay son, you have to steal a Police car and pull over 3 vans, they'll never suspect anything about a Yugoslavian/Serbian War veteran Pulling them over in plain clothes''

Much of GTA V didn't make much sense either.

As an example, and in the words of The Odyssey:

But after you kill a government agent, a gangster surrounded by bloodthirsty ballers, and an Asian gang leader without a scratch in less than 2 hours (game time) , and then proceed to live a normal life afterwards with nobody on your tail or wanting to kill you, it doesn't really make much sense.

I miss everything in IV that was taken out of V. TBH I had a better time with IV than I did with V. Now that doesn't mean V sucked, the game has it's positives over IV but overall the game is kinda disappointing and made me appreciate IV even more than I did.
