When I get a new GTA V disk (current one is too scratched to even be read) I might try to get some better ones.

Here are the revised rules for the thread:

1. No selfies. Period.

- Selfies just don't fit the tone of the thread and the look we are going for here. There are other threads you can post your "funny" selfie with burning paramedics in the background but please, keep em off this one.

2. No generic car shots. A vehicle can still be used as a prop in a "scene" though.

- This includes for example a 10 car meetup in GTAO with multiple personal vehicles and players dicking around / flashing gestures or really basic shots of cars with no thought put into the location/background.

3. No multiplayer goofyness/hilarity.

- This includes all GTAO pics that are just random snaps of multiple players f*cking around. If you set up a certain scene with you friends though, it's welcome. But make it great and inventive!

4. No glitching/cheating related shots.

- This includes floating cars, glitching peds, clipping bugs, graphical bugs and pretty much all "abnormal" behavior of the game.

5. Be critical when selecting your pictures.

- Do multiple passes of quality control: if you for example feel that there are two much too similar shots in the set you are about to post, take out the one that you feel is inferior. If you feel that there is even the slightest thing that feels "off" about the pic, it's a safe bet to remove it from the set. Be critical and most of all, honest to yourself.

6. Don't post multiple shots of the same subject matter.

- This means that don't post 5 sunset shots that have all been taken at the same spot with the same framing but with only a marginal difference in lighting. Try to keep it fresh, varied and interesting.

7. Keep the number of pictures per post fairly low.

- This basically reinforces the fifth rule, and helps you carve out the real winners of the bunch.

8. No meme texts.

- Once again, they really don't fit the tone here.

----------------------

And here's some random bits & pieces:

- be inventive: try to find new angles, try out strange crops etc.
- frame your shots as clean as possible (check out the far edges of the preview shot on the phone so that there is no random sliver of car hood poking out of one corner)
- shoot peds doing their activities
- experiment with taking a shot of something with the widest zoom and then zoomed all the way
- think of the entire frame
- experiment with different times of day and weather combos
- experiment with shooting from vehicles, for example when you're sitting in an Adder the angle is a lot closer to the ground.
- get tilted shots by being on a bicycle or motorcycle

I might edit this a bit later today, I'm sure I forgot something - but there you go!

I accidentally bumped my XBox and made the disc look like it had crop circles. Got it fixed earlier today for just $2.99, a lot better than $59.99.

I am guessing you came up with that revision, JUST FOR ME? Kind of retarded. My pics contain ALL the elements of GOOD photography. Framing, lighting etc. A good example is the pics of the cars with all their headlights on reflecting off the rainy road...

0_0.jpg

...you are going to exclude pics like mine because I don't have a pretty mountain or sunset in the background? That is dumb.

I know your little addendum was added about pics of multiple cars parked in "circular" formation came right after I posted these.

0_0.jpg

0_0.jpg

....just out of curiosity, since this is a "professional" photographer thread, where are some of your pics published at? I personally had some freelance stuff published a few years back in WORLD WIDE distributed magazines like, Ozone, Tha Message, Lowrider and Lowrider Euro...how about you OP?

Thanks for the love on this pic though, it is one of my personal favorites as well.

Woah slow down there buddy – nobody was limiting your output as an artist, or even suggesting to do so. Those rules are revised from the original ones I came up with when I started this thread late last year. I talked about doing a new, revised ruleset a week ago or so.

You can definitely love your car shots, take as many as you want but this particular thread isn't intended for posting picture sets with A) multiple shots of the same subject matter and B) multiplayer goofiness, not to mention having all car related pictures. These rules were laid down from the get-go and your post had three cases of duplicity.

This isn't to say that photography has rules, not in the least. It only has to do with the types of pictures I was greatly interested in collecting in this thread, and inspiring other fellow GTA players to take. There are no rules in photography, but this thread does. Like the "no selfies" rule that people have been adhering to incredibly well.

I gotta say I find it little petty (and really hilarious) that you would instantly try to discredit me or others in this thread and bringing up your IRL work – which basically has no meaning here.

I mean no ill will towards you or anybody else that likes car porn and car magazine imagery. But that is just not the main focus of this thread and the collection of pictures we are going for. I hope you understand.

tldr version: this thread is meant to showcase much much more than just stuff that comes up when you google "gta online car meet".
