During my fifth play-through, I realized a little something in the intro.

How is Niko in Alderny at this point? Aren't there still "FACKING TEARISTS!" across the bridge from Broker?

I also had same thought.

Maybe he has a six star wanted level... MANIAC BRIDGE CROSSER ON THE LOOSE!

The whole bridge thing is nonsense anyway because Johnny pays it completely no heed.

Its something we just have to ignore.

But it CAN be explained.

Gameplay and what happens in that world are different than what occurs during  the story. He snuck though thats all, and no one wants to stop The Lost so they just ride through.

Id say it was an over sight on the developers part. I think they didn't think about the Continuity error as much and just wanted him there as an Easter egg.

Well yeah, because Johnny is an American Citizen, Niko isn't.

Except there's entire blockades present when playing as Niko but they completely disappear when playing as Johnny.

It's a flawed plot device to prevent Niko from moving about freely :p.

It's not as flawed as Johnny riding past Luis and not making a sawn off drive by. That was a completely out of character moment. Yes sir.

Not to mention it would have added new positive flavors to the Ballad.

What's interesting about Johnny and Niko crossing paths is the one we see during the end credits, where Johnny and a couple of bikers ride by the Broker harbor when Niko was killing Vlad.

Since this supposedly occurred before the events of Lost and Damned, i'd say Johnny was paying a visit to the Broker Lost Chapter, and informing them of the peace time deal he just struck with the Angels of Death.

Gives another layer and all to the story.

This was a semi-joke topic mostly, just kinda was proud of myself for finally noticing.

How could you have not spotted That though? Not only was it on the foreground, but the music volume takes a small dip when Niko speaks to the passerby.

Meanwhile I heard that during the 'Shifting Weight' segment of the end credits, you can spot Niko under the bridge.

That one however I still haven't spotted. And just searching for it on youtube doesn't sound fair either.

I've seen Niko each time, I ain't no mental-defective!
I just realized that the bridge to Alderny and Algonquin are still facking terrorist-proof at this point in time.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah I see ...

Well, it is Liberty City after all.

Or maybe it was a preview of how you can avoid the police in GTA V? by acting normal and attempting to 'blend in' with the crowd?

In any case i'll tell you what else doesn't make sense; the trajectory taken by the Lost to reach the rehab center.

It is a ridiculous detour they made by riding on the bridge, from the opposite entrance side too. Not even the in-game GPS will have you follow that route.

Or was it a forshadowing of Johnny's poor leadership? on how he leads the brothers astray from the right path?

Naw, the brother just wanted to go for a ride, so they did. I guess sometimes you gotta look like a badass.

I second this.

From the look of it, Niko is wandering Alderney by himself. He looks lonely and not as powerful as he is once he performs murder contracts for big people such as Ray Boccino and other criminal bosses. It's simply an Easter egg.

The story from IV and TL&TD cross over a couple times.  I would hardly call it bad writting.
