It's an M rated game with all the killing, drugs, sexual things you can get but there's no gore...

I wanna hit someone with my car really fast and see there body split. I wanna cut someone with a knife and see there body all messed up.

it doesn't need to be extreme like a zombie game but I wanna see more gore

GTA has never had tons of gore in it. The worst was the cartoonish way limbs would pop off in GTA III and VC, although i think some versions required cheats for it. I do kinda think that the way the bodies hold together can break the immersion a little bit, but I'm in no rush to get tons of gore.

I'm just going to admit that yes, the blood and gore could have been better. Instead of 3D flesh wounds on bodies like in RDR in MP3, they're just flat textures, and the bloodshed feels like a T-rated game almost, even GTA IV was better in this department.

There is in the cutscene. That one missing Steve Haines blows the brains out that guys head with a pistol.

Yeah. I was like "Damn!".

Too bad it was just in a cutscene. If it was a game mechanic, it would make killing cops more satisfying. Add that a MG or a Minigun.

I don't know why it's a step backwards from Red Dead Redemption. I would say it's some technical limitation, but I don't know for sure.

In MY opinion, it was, especially when riddling people with SMG bullets or shotgun blasts.

omg you must play GTA IV again reptile, when you shoot someone in the head with a pistol, rifle, no matter what there isn't a hole, just a scratch

I'm a reptile? So are you Carl.

I am aware of that thanks, but I'm actually referring to body shots. There seems to be bigger marks and more visible blood sprays.

The impact physics are better in V, I think. You can see the impact of each individual bullet as you riddle them into the chest of your victim. Also V has better blood spatter effects. Did blood ever spray onto the walls in IV? I seem to recall being first blown away by that in Red Dead.

In that part RDR was better. The blood looked better (sometimes it looks strange it GTAV) and the injury the enimies got after getting shot.

If the blood didn't look literally watered down, I'd say the blood spatter in V is better than Red Dead. It's a bit more dynamic. Unfortunately the blood looks a bit like Kool-Aid.

No dismemberment is a bad thing and a real disappointment to be had for sure. Hopefully when we get a PC release we can fix many of these flaws.

I get enough satisfaction from leaving red stained tire tracks through pools of blood.

Needs the wound effects of RDR & MP3. If you want to go even further, why not get the people who worked on the Manhunt series to throw some stuff in there.

Actually, yes. That includes anything that has collision i.e. cars, windows, fire hydrants, lamp posts etc.

This isn't a major issue for me, but the damage was pretty unrealistic. I mean, I shot somebody in the face with a sawed-off three times and there was only a little blood spot.
When I shoot someone in the head with a shotgun or high powered rifle, I want to see their skull fly open and their brains fly out. When an enemy in the game is stabbed or sliced, they should have visible realistic wounds. When I hit someone in an Adder at 267 miles per hour, I want them to splatter and lie on the ground broken beyond repair!
Also, the vehicle damage isn't very realistic. When I park a bus on the train tracks and it gets hit by a speeding train, I don't want it to fly 500 feet through the air, I want it to crumple in half like a real bus would if it was hit with an indestructible train.
Overall, I just want more realistic damage but I could live without it.

RDR was pretty f*cking brutal. I used to tie people up and shoot them in the mouth with a pistol, the violence was so amped in RDR that if you looked really close you could actually see what looked like their teeth flying out along with their face splitting open. Still blows my mind why they decided to tone it down.

omg I totally forgot all about this!!! Yes this would be amazing to have this feature back! Was there ever a chainsaw in any of the gtas? We need those too and better melee weapons like katana in vice city. :^:

The lack of blood after a shootout is very underwhelming. I remember in GTA IV leaving blood foot prints, blood tire marks and seeing huge pools of blood under bodies. GTA V is nothing like that. :/

RDR like body damage not featuring is also disappointing.

Frustrating thing is that there is absolutely no legitimate reason to tone down the gear from one game to the next.
