i need some recommendations...it sucks finding a spot to be safe so u can spend 5 minutes typing "good game" or "sick car" to some random person who probably wont even respond to it

which one have you got and what do you think of it?

Edit:

would like it to be a wireless one because of the distance between me and the console

thx, gonna check if there is a wireless version. (edited my first post)

Turtle Beaches come with REALLY long wires, and are better for longer gameplay sessions because wireless headsets require recharging.

I've always wanted turtle beaches, but I don't need a headset enough to spend that much cash on one.

Marking this for later. I'm in need of a good headset, but don't want to trade in an arm or a leg for one.

If you have the dough, I suggest Astro A40s or Astro A50s. I myself have the A50s.

for XBL , the latest microsoft wireless is perfect for in game chat!. PC world (if your in UK) have them on sale for £14.99! bargain!

If you want all your sound through headset then I recommend the Turtlebeach, they have a headset for every budget.

Mentioning your console wouldve helped OP.

For PS3 id suggest the official ps3 headset below. Love mine.

Or you could buy a turtle beach but personally i dislike wired things.

The Turtle Beach one above is what I have. Very good and lasted me for quite awhile.  There is a wireless and a wired version and with the holidays coming up, there are bound to be some steals.

I recently got my self a simple blue tooth mic for my PS3. Cheap as chips and wireless too (obviously) If you simply just want to communicate with other players and don't want to spend too much then these are a good option.

Just ordered a 15 buck set off fleabay, bluetooth with one ear-bud. We'll see how it goes.

Squeak? I dont notice anything like that from mine. Yeah they do get pretty damn loud. A sound investment & quite comfortable.

Tritton Switchblade (MadCatz) is an excellent headset / earpiece.

I got mine on sale at Asda/Walmart for £10, but you I've seen them for £18 elsewhere on the internet.

I use to own turtle beaches x41 and they would have periods where they would start to crackle a lot due to the wireless not having a strong connection. I also didn't like how the ear pieces were small enough to sit on my ear. Got uncomfortable pretty quickly.

I switched to the Astro A50 and man they are comfy as hell. They cup around your ears instead of ontop on them and I never have any interference with my game audio. The audio is also a big improvement. I'm also able to connect them to my xbox and my PC at the same time so I can use Skype instead of Xbox chat. I've never had issues with the battery life since you just plug them in to charge when you're not using them on the stand it comes with. They're $300 though. lol

None of the wireless headsets are going to be cheap.
