Deep under the ocean. I wonder if there's a shark or not. Haven't seen the Mount Gordo ghost yet.

Underwater. Specially at night. Roaming with a sub and not being able to see your surroundings...I always have the feeling like a big-ass sea monster will pass swimming in front of me

The southern part of mount chiliad where the woods are. It is the place you go to do Trevor's hunting activity. Those woods are creepy at night.

Where are these woods people speak of? Are you referring to the small collection tree's around the lumber area NE of the map?

The sky. When youre above the clouds. Also being around the UFOs and their noises. I hate open spaces of nothingness. I dont know how to explain. I can't noclip in Half Life 2's opening without the 360° of sky creeping me out. Looking for the UFOs above FZ and the HC scares me. I had a nightmare where i was in my kitchen and the floor vanishes and as I'm floating/falling in nothing but bright white cloudy sky the FZ UFO appears ans screams at me. I could stand on a mountain IRL or in the middle of nowhere. No problem. I have the ground beneath me. But, if its nothing but sky, its as scary as nothing but water. Ugghh, shudder.

Yes, the woods are scary.

Mikey tried to escape from San Andreas, but the map ended and it stopped his plane, making it fall into the water below. Of course, with him being soo far out in the water a shark shows up and eats him. Really aggravating. Then he tried to escape again by boat and the radio goes off. The boat stops, and starts to sink. Niice. He gets eaten by a shark. Again.

It's hard to escape from this place!! :panic:Damn! Rockstar is evil!

I'll just agree with most of the posters on here and nominate the underwater areas. It's probably rather the darkness and loneliness, and not the sharks, that gets me.

That plane and cargo boat wrecks underwater you dive around that and then you only have a deep ocean abiss without knowing what the hell is down there in the deep. That is scary

The abandoned motel in SP at night time, near sandy shores, I shat bricks when a pig came out of nowhere.

The mine. There's a rope hanging up far in, in the distance it looks like something else, like someone standing their, you get closer and it's a rope. It's a bit creepy.

"Happiness is... Land."

Nothing creeps me out more than treading water, at night, on the pitch black surface of shark infested waters!

Once, scuba-diving at night as Franklin, I surfaced only to see my boat drifting out towards the open sea. So I swam after it. Bad idea.

I was swimming just under the waves, so I could move faster, but the boat kept drifting farther away, always just out of arms reach.
I kept this charade up until I was way out at sea. I decided to turn back and make for the nearest plot of land.

Heading back for land, I dove towards the bottom and kept diving, knowing that the surface is the worst place to be, when stranded in the deep.
I had been diving into the abyss for a good 20 secs and all around me was black and I couldn't even see the ocean floor.
Then my radar, which occupied most of my attention throughout this ordeal, flashed the red 'danger' icon. All I saw was the tail and rear half of the shark, as it swished past from behind me and disappeared into the blackness.

I felt chilling, icy droplets of sweat on every follicle as my hairs stood on end.

I didn't think twice about switching over to M at this point, but I immediately started feeling bad about leaving my boy, Franklin, out in the drink. I contemplated switching back and did so, once my nerves were settled.

Franklin was still out there treading water, surrounded by the wet, midnight death. The shark was gone, so I resumed my diving towards the seabed. There were no sharks, but the menacing void left me exposed to attack from anywhere.
Franklin had been torpedoing his way through the darkness for what felt like an agonising 5min., when I came upon a cliff with plenty of nooks and crannies to hide in. I felt relieved.

The rest of the way, I darted from whatever cover I could find towards land, constantly tapping the sprint-button.
Eventually I made it to the eastern shores of SA. The sun was up and I felt born again.
I still had to hike across the Palomino highlands, killing one cougar in the way, before I could reach a road and taxi; but that's paradise compared to facing what lurks out in the deep...

Yep, Happiness is Land.

maybe the mine in V if you discovered it after you beat the game and thought nothing was left unexplored in the game, and you discovered it without spoilers

i found it like that... about 3 months after it was added

i thought there was nothing left in the game to find... no more interiors... no more secrets... and i had no idea there was a mine

so when i discovered it, it was a huge WTF holy sh*t moment

and i was playing at night, completely dark big TV room with surround sound, sitting close to the TV... so i was suuuper immersed haha

i was pretty shocked when the door blew open... and it was rather creepy exploring the tunnels haha i kept expecting to find some gangster hiding and guarding their cash, or a ghost or something

i dunno if it translates to a video well hahaha maybe it's not very creepy to watch embedded into GTAF but watch it at dark with headphones in full screen from start to finish maybe it's a bit creepy :p

it's not quite like sneaking into Ahn'Qiraj or beta Eastern Plaguelands in WoW or early Silent Hill but it was pretty good for GTA V if you didn't have it spoilered because it was so unexecpted

Yeah, the ocean for me is pretty creepy. More so on PS3, I think, as I would swim down there, fully knowing there wasn't much else in the water with me, and seeing the depth just reaching out beneath me... it still made me hold my breath and feel spooked. I think the uncertainty as to whether or not something might just... appear.

On PS4, the added marine wildlife removed some of that feeling - don't get me wrong, that expanse and endless depth are still quite emotive, but that can be broken pretty rapidly by the elation created by the sudden appearance of a massive whale.

Top of Mount Josiah at night, also - gambling with cougars, waiting for that wild roar and the sudden appearance of the slavering jaws of death.

Man, GTAV is a hell of  a game.

i agree especially with that eerie sound sunken ships make in the hull. alamo sea is pretty scary under water also because its so murky. try being  on the surface when theres a storm brewing though. with the waves tossing. the thing about deep sea diving is it has you on edge because you never know whats coming.  every fish i see makes me jump because when i see one i automaically think shark. paleto forrest at night is creepy also.

the sandy shores motel. i did a myth hunt there one time and heard some wierd noises and seeing how messed up the interior was made me wonder why it was abandoned. it reminds me of the abandoned casino in gta 4. and yes the alamo sea is very scary. i was swimming down there one time and the second i went under i knew i wasent gonna stay long. just thinking a big creature or jump scare might happen scared me. so i left
