The only places i think are creepy are wrecks underwater. Probably just because it's rockstar and they could put something in to sh*t people up :p Creepiest thing on any GTA i have experienced was the run down casino on IV :/ not scary i know, but when you first come across it at night on an old TV with poor quality so that you cant even see the doorways... then get lost in the back room and walk over a tramp, scarred for life haha.

What is the creepiest place or thing in gta v in your guys opinion?
Why is it that gta san andreas seems way creepier than gta V?

Because anything was possible in the III era. Now it's mostly realistic bullsh*t so we don't really get that creepy feeling in some areas like we used to.

The damn train beating the sh*t out of a tank and moving along with no damage.

Also the subway, when its at a station and the doors open then shooting the drive in 1 second it takes off. When it usually sits there for about a minute with the driver being alive.

That creeps the sh*t out of me.

Eh, SA was only creepy because of the Bigfoot and Leatherface myths.
I don't know about you, but I think being stranded in the depths of the ocean at night or wandering Mt. Gordon at midnight is a lot more unnerving than Back O Beyond.

That's true. It was more cartoony and stuff like the bodybags near the military base while the area was abandoned was creepy, as well as random peds falling, drowning themselves and other stuff. And in Vice City there was the dead body underwater with the cinderblocks on his feet.

Now the creepiest thing is the UFO.

Creepiest?

Not a place/location but when flying a helicopter, the audio track that plays, creates an ominous feeling - as if something bad is going to happen. After awhile, it actually creates a little anxiety. I've asked around and it seems I'm not the only one who has interpreted it that way.

The ghost is creepy looking.

The underwater dead bodies WOULD HAVE been creepy if they did more with their appearance and placed them in better locations.

Deep underwater in the submarine at night creates tension and a sense of foreboding.

The Altruist Camp is slightly creepy.

The house by the lighthouse is somewhat creepy.

Some mountainous areas are so devoid of anything so it feels a bit odd when onfoot.

I think the KORTZ mall is friggin weird. It feels unnatural there.

The lack of water activity in the lake makes it a strange feeling area. I was expecting lots of boats and peds zipping around.

Oddly enough, the marshes have a positive comfy feeling but the nearby military base has something "off" about it.

Some of the run down abandoned structures and filthy alleyways are brilliantly atmospheric. The old hotel in the desert is one of many excellent examples.

I think there are more "empty" feeling areas than actual creepy areas. The countryside feels unfinished. That said, the map offers many ideal spots for future DLC or mods.

Haven't had an actual creepy moment in the game, unfortunately...  Neither while playing the story, nor particularly in free roam (other than being out far/deep in the sea) but a few glitches. I will get to that in a moment. I thought Dead man walking had the (wasted) potential. I too found San Andreas a little eerie here and there, maybe it was simply the imagination. I think R* are usually really good at surprise elements, suspension, intensity and release though, also with simply playing with your mind. The very latest when L.A. Noire had it's unexpectedly intense and creepy moments I hoped they would bring out a (survival?) horror themed game one day. I am positive that would kick ass!

So, the weird moments for me have been the glitches. For example, I was driving down a cliff and accidentally pressed Y, so Michael jumped out of the car... and it landed on him. He was stuck there lying in a Jesus Christ pose with his arms spread... eerily also with what I could swear was the hand gesture. He got up after about half a minute, which was a pleasant surprise, compared to Red Dead Redemption (where you would be forced to load a previous save if you were stuck under a vehicle, and that happened a lot to me).

Another time, Instead of dragging the NPC off his jetski, Michael just disappeared for a split second, before spawning in this pose (also with the arms spread) that video game character models are worked on on the back of the jetski. The NPC was still on, but stopped. I could only break out of this pose by attempting to switch characters (which was not blocked). That released him into the water, free to move.

A really random thing happened to me just recently. I picked up Ursula as Trevor and the day after that, I bought the Tequi-la-la with Franklin. A couple of minutes later, my first side mission for the property was proposed and because I was in the middle of nowhere, I called a cab to get me to Vinewood. I skipped the ride and as Franklin was getting out, I saw Ursula standing in the middle of the steet with her backpack on, immediately triggering a dialogue. Instead of this glitch acting like a meeting point, she asked to be dropped off home, like we just hung out together (remember, impossible, only Trevor knew her). And because of this, the side mission was not available any longer.

Therefore, I got back into the cab, wanting to take her home and just start this side mission already. The dialogue was abruptly stopped once we entered, so I skipped the ride again, we arrive, she enters her house, you get the usual shebang with the sudden weather change and then the surrounding NPCs start shooting me all of a sudden.

Ever since then, she has been a contact in Franklin's phone and is available for booty calls... No clue why the game acted like this. I don't know what it is, but it made me feel a little weird, indeed.

This piece reminds me of the Bully soundtrack! I don't find it creepy, but because of the tight and surpressed feeling I get listening to the track, I think it would have fitted better as the diving theme.

Speaking of diving, I find being deep sea in the submarine unnerving. The noises are... well, that; unnerving. And whenever I hit a rock, the noise makes me jumpy. Would have been better for my piece of mind, collecting all the nuclear waste and submarine parts, had a radio option been present.

Far out at sea, particularly deep underwater where it's just you and the infinite darkness.

Well that ghost girl doesnt creep me out at all, she looks freaky but since you cant interact with her, she just appears/disappears, its creepy factor for me is -1, if you have to solve the mystery of her death, maybe talk to her and enter a sort of dream-state and see parts of what happened to her etc.. I mean something to add depth/interest, it'd be useful IMO.

I would say yes the ocean is creepy when its dark but also when that shark gets to swimming around you constantly trying to get an advantage and CHOMP on you!  For me its a 2:1, I've killed two of them, one w/ the knife in the water, another shooting it from the boat but one got me!
