hello I think rockstar should add a ghost mode while racing so people who doesn't like the street garbage racing will enjoy the races that will help people who doesn't like being pushed by some NFS kids .

in some tracks like criminal records its nearly unplayable when theres more than 3 people you can't avoid being pushed or some loser going on the opposite way just to stop you so at least when you have the choice to put ghost mode on the races
will be based on skill not bashing and pushing like a derby race.

i don't know that's my point if you agree or disagree feel free to discus you're welcome

May as well play on your own against the leaderboards if the only way you want to interact with others is lap times.

This is a very good point, maybe a setting when you host would be a better idea and people can have the best of both worlds.

You wouldn't. AFAIK time trials don't usually pay out. We have races for that.

I think it would be an interesting option. Obviously make it a setting and not mandatory though. Less pay out maybe.

Ghost mode would be a time trial, same as playing solo. How does that not make sense?

because it wouldnt lol, theyre completely different things

time trials are in a versus version against a set time...in free for all version theyre just statistics..

theres no set competition in the latter..

having normal point to point races with multiple competitors (and thus being able to have a rewarding system per race) isnt the same as single races where the results are put in a general box full of all other results..

try coming up with a reward system for that one

No. It's already damn near impossible finding a decent race (Traffic On, Customs On, Catch-Up Off, not Criminal Records or Down the Drain), if you added another option I might as well give up on ever finding a decent race again.

Go play Forza if Ghost Mode appeals to you, for me nothing could be more dull (like racing without Traffic, it's just so empty and boring). If R* completely overhauls the matchmaking system (from scratch) to be highly effective, then maybe the game could cope with more options, but right now you'd just break it worse.

Alternatively there are plenty of racing Crews out there you could join, and have yourself a clean race if you really want to that badly. Honestly though this is GTA for f*ck sake, and people keep saying it because it's a valid point, if you come to this game looking for a clean race then you're a damn fool.

There are countless clean racing games out there for you to play, leave the game where we role-play as criminals street racing to the people who want to street race like criminals.

No.

People need to stop complaining about dirty racing and just learn to deal with it. There are plenty of things you can do to "counter" someone trying to PIT you, and hell, if someone does it to you, DO IT TO THEM BACK. Stop crying about it and learn to race better.

EDIT:

FYI, if someone is pulling up beside you and trying to bash you, break slightly, get behind them and slipstream ahead - simples.

If you see someone coming up on your rear (lol) and they go to PIT you, moments before they make contact, break. Your car will stiffen up and be far less likely to spin out when they hit you and that momentum will bounce back into the dirty racer and spin THEM out.

I'm sorry, but I just don't have time to take a break right in the middle of a race.

hilarious how you promote pitting and finish with..RACE BETTER...just wanted to point that out

lets get on track

fact: some LOVE to make contact during races

fact: some HATE to make contact during races

solution > implement a known element in the game (ghosting) as optional for those who HATE making contact during races

every1 wins, every1 is happy

really dont get why Pro-rammers and pitters are even getting irritated by these topics...you already have what you want..wtf u moaning about!?!?

Except we don't have what we want, good races are almost impossible to find and adding more options to the current matchmaking system would make it impossible for anyone to find what they want (see my post above for more on that).

If no one speaks out against this, R* might actually listen to you and add another racing option without improving the matchmaking, so you're damn right we're annoyed that people keep advocating for game-breaking alterations, and I'll speak out against it as much as I feel I need to do my part in making sure R* doesn't listen to the wrong people.

but thats a game issue...i do presume R* will fix that before attending to any1s need as that is a faulty part of the game...fix ur game before u put extras in

youre not gonna spend ur last dollars upgrading ur engine while ur car is sitting on only 3 wheels now do ya :p
