I'd estimate about 50/50 quick-joining or hosting my own race sessions on hard(er) tracks with catchup off.

Win percentage means as much as K/D ratio...nothing

What really matters is how many have beaten you to the finish line vs. how many you have beaten

If you're consistently in races with many people, your odds of winning are much lower than against 1 or 2 people, especially with dirty racers...realistically, 30% wins is outstanding...

...and 1% wins against chrome Adders with La Cucaracha horns is epic

So my question is, if you average 8 players in a race and you have more wins than losses... how does that happen?  It's a statistical anomaly.

Wins : 183

Losses : 318

Race Time : 10h 15m 43s

I always race clean, but do understand that not everybody likes to race this way, it is a GTA game afterall!

434 wins for 1102 losses (gave away roughly 400 race wins though).

A) leave a race before it ends if your losing.
B) dont average 8 players per race...start it with two.
C) knock your opponent off the track...win the race.
D) never help anyone with win donations.

I've won a lot. I think I've only lost once or twice.

421-160 from only joining races through the phone. Hosted less than 20 races myself.

But dont be afraid, I sold my PS3 alongside this game.

People who only were able to stay behind me because of catch-up and slipstream who somehow luckily rammed me off the road a few meters before the final checkpoint made me lose interest in racing. Sometimes, in long races, I did a perfect lap and people who crashed 3 times while trying to overtake me, still beat me due to the very annoying noob friendly race system with catch-up. Also loved the homo pairs, one person ramming and blocking you constantly while his crewmate could finish.

I am waiting and checking this forum to get some news about next gen and PC version of the game.

Okay, so basically their stats are milked.  Got it.  That makes sense.

So it's just another number I'm going to ignore and I think I'm doing pretty well too.

If it makes you wannabes feel better lol. Of course 8 players isn't the average amount of racers. I guess its more like 4. But that doesn't change anything. I personally left race lobbies with only 2 or 3 players.

When I raced, I ignored everybody who had less wins than loses in races and only paid attention to people with positive stats.. Worked out pretty well. Also whenever somebody overtook me, I brought some distance between him and me, checked if he was trying to hit me, if yes, i'd smashed into him without mercy, if no we had a pretty amusing exchange of slip-streams until one of us failed.

Oh well.. a tiny bit I still regret selling my PS3. It was hilarious how people went nuts when they saw what stats I achieved by racing with an adder in every single supersport race. Many times it was like this: 1st, me in an adder, 2nd, 3rd 4th and 5th random idiots with entitys last + second last: 2 more adders. People just hate that car because they can't control it xD

Not really. Most drivers in this game are terrible. Even if there are 8 racers it's more like 1-3 that actually have a chance of winning in any given race because they finish laps 10-20 seconds faster than anyone else.

204/48 All legit... I think that the matchmaking system is absolutely terrible. I'd really like a challenge, but I so rarely get one, and I'm sure new players or people who aren't great at racing get sick of being put in rooms with me. Doesn't help that you have to wait ten minutes just for someone to join...

100/160 not as good as some ûber players round here.

But absolutely enjoy winning super category in chromed up Adder. Don't get me wrong, at a time Entity brought me so much glory but I preffer Adder.

If I see catch up on, I race once then leave. It indicates intentions of host and his intentions. Nothing wrong turning off custom cars, but catch up is a big no no.

The bottom line is that the win/loss ratio means absolutely nothing. Good racers often trash thier records by helping others, bad racers often pad thier records by farming wins, racers with huge total numbers often only know a couple simple tracks, racers with low numbers may have raced all of the tracks but only a couple times. The only real stat that matters is how much you actually enjoy what yourdoing. That isnt recorded anywhere in game. Anyone who is looking for enjoyable racing with skillful racers should consider checking out some links in my sig.

494 Wins - 222 Loses

I did give away a good chuck of races.  Lost the greater share of those legitimately, but I got the platinum award for "Penetrating From Behind".  ;)

GTa for ya lol

Mine is about 270-170. I mostly race with the same people who are a little slower than me, can get a bit boring so I usually fake a crash or something so they can catch up. Random races can be fun but the tracks they usually race are dull and it is just a crash fest to the line, especially with catch up on.

50-43 I think. Once I unlocked all the mods in LSC, I stopped racing.

This guy speaks the truth. ^..

I find it rare to see any racers with more wins then losses to be any good at all.

From what i've seen the racers with the most losses are the best ones.  If some guy has 500 wins and 2000 losses, chance are hes a maniac on the road and can drive like a pro.

Now if i see someone with like 200+ wins and 100 losses, chances are he will quit or loose anyways.
