Indeed. I'm broke now. 36K for the metallic/pearlescent paintjob. FFS :(

OH wait Nm. You have to apply the pearlescent over the metallic right after apparently...I was a grand short so I had to rob a store.

I come back, and now it wont let me put the pearlescent over the metallic...

So now I have to repaint it, then save up again, so I can REbuy the bright purple metallic paintjob and then apply it. WTF man -_-

You've gotta be kidding me...

i think, if you paint it something cheap, like normal black, then go back to metallic, you'll still have it there for free

only works until you exit LSC though, i'll try it right now just to make sure

honestly, i don't feel bad for glitching anymore, if they had this in development for FIVE years, you'd think they would get something simple like this right

Wow...screw this bs. 15K may seem like chump change for most people, but not to me. This sucks man :(

I never glitched before, but it's becoming more and more appealing by the day.

I don't get it. I have the metallic purple...why wont it let me go back and apply the pearlescent over it?!

Yeah, these respray prices are completely ridiculous.  All paint job prices should have been under $8,000.

You're trying to apply it over the primary color right? You can only apply pearlescent over the primary color and it will cover the secondary automatically...

If you already knew that then I feel for your loss! hope you get it to the color you like

It is dumb how they dont let you add pearlescent after another visit. Also dumb how you cant preview what primary / secondary colours look like before you buy them. You can easily spend 200k trying different combos before you find one you like.

Honestly this game is a rip off, just glitch as you need.

Yes I am :( On my Feltzer. I couldn't afford it, so I had to leave LSC to rob a store quick. I come back and it wont let me apply it over my metallic purple now. Apparently you must do it right upon the initial respray, which is BS.

I think if you go into the metallic menu, then exit it without a purchase, the pearlescent menu will appear and you can get it.

Not 100% on that mind

Coming from world of warcraft I recognise cash sinks when I see them. People don't seem to recognise all the instances that occur in this game but it is quite apparent if you think about it. The whole game is designed to keep you broke so either you move at a snail pace allowing them to turtle updates along...or buy cash cards.

Ammo and guns costing a fortune, having to call Pegasus and pay for your stuff to be delivered, medical/utility bills, losing ammo on death, insurance fees, having boat and bikes with flare colors and decals be random instead of choosing the color, car upgrades costing 30-60k (50k turbo anyone)....etc. etc.

And to think that I was actually going to buy a cash card to show my support. No chance of that happening now.

I really wish they'd let you test out different paint combinations without having to pay every time. It's a pain in the ass for those who like to play with pearlescents / trying to figure out how you want to coordinate the color scheme.

No, you're stupid. There's absolutely no reason why I shouldn't be able to apply the pearlescent over my metallic paintjob.

And saying "Go to SP" is just stupid too. Why should we have to? Why can't we preview the results first?

FFS.

did you even read the thread? fool, he's talking about the bumped prices for PAINTJOBS, he had to leave the shop after wasting 15k on one, to get more money to buy the pearlescent colour he wanted, but nope, rockstar can't even program the game to remember having a metallic colour set on a car.

why do paintjobs cost different for each colour? it makes utterly no sense, besides for chrome.

seriously, colours are a matter of preference, they shouldnt have overpriced any of that

Random sh*t? All I was trying to do was apply a pearlescent paintjob over my metallic one, which I just learned you could do.

Nowhere in the world does it state that it must be done on the initial respray, or not at all.

It's called GTA ONLINE for a reason. Having to keep going into SP to see how paintjobs look is RETARDED.
