The beach bum DLC is for both SP and MP.

Although, it would be cool if you had 100% in your game, you get a few more heists. (Heist DLC's)

The Casino heist would be awesome.

It's only weapon's and vehicles for SP.. nothing else.

Well, it's something.

sp is for loners and pansies

(out of topic) As the Phrase says: "It Takes One, To Know One"! :breadfish:

You must be a very experienced loner, pansy and ....your fav word: A SCHMACK!

And since we all know you already played SP 3 times, you are 3 times a ..... ********* ********* ********************** :miranda:

As for the topic & questions @ hand, I'm sure there will be some "ADD ON" for both SP and MP.

Look for it @ Holiday Time. (mid Dec.)

A little bird told me so. :r*:

of course there will be. TLAD and TBOGT were DLC for GTA IV ...it would only make sense to act the same way.

Rockstar said they weren't going to another "Episodes from" DLC, but I hope we at least get some kind of DLC built for Single Player.

I see people constantly saying this, but not once have I seen a source where R* actually say it.
Maybe if you bothered looking you wouldn't doubt people so much. And the full article.

Thank-you!
But still that was in relation to Max Payne 3, not necessarily GTA.
It's in my opinion that it's obvious that there will be single-player dlc.

Yes, it's mainly about Max Payne 3 - but GTA is brought up a few times. Whereas Rockstar stated they really liked doing EFLC, but are going to stay away from big DLCs that are $20 - maybe do something that is $10. I'm hoping that if they do go and do a somewhat-big DLC for $10, there are lots of extra stuff.

It's written on rockstars news wire, that there will be single player dlc.

The Beach Bum pack? That's mostly focused for Multiplayer. New weapons, new vehicles, and over 300 beach-themed clothing options for multiplayer. It's an extra content pack for multiplayer, with some of the content being able to be used in Single Player. There hasn't been any announcement of a single-player focused DLC.

Take Undead Nightmare for example. That was a Single Player focused DLC. Complete overhaul of the single player game, lots of new content and everything. Then two extra gamemodes in it for multiplayer that were related to the content in the Single Player portion, and some character models.

Yes, it includes things for SP and MP, but the DLC is mostly geared towards SP.

Spoiler
, a story detailing Trevor's past, Niko in North Yankton, taking back Grove Street, Episodes From Los Santos/San Andreas, Los Santos/San Andreas Stories or something else entirely. I just want another GTA game for the V era.
I think a story DLC or another GTA before VI is perfectly likely because only once has R* made a jump from one GTA to another in numerological order, and that was between II and III.
After Grand Theft Auto and before GTA II, there was London: 1969 and London: 1961. After III and before IV there was Vice City, San Andreas, Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories. Between IV and V there was The Lost & Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony.

Roman numeral titles have nothing to do with eras.

The games are separated by their definition. The 2D Era, the 3D Era, and the HD Era. IV and its expansions are in the same canon as V. III, VC, SA are in a separate canon. I, II, and the London games are separate as well.

Yeah I know that. By "eras" I sort of meant "sub-eras", not the 2/3/HD eras.

I don't know if i'm reading it wrong but i'm sure they meant there is dlc coming for single player.

Stay tuned as we hope to have more information with more details and specific timings on these content updates as well as on GTA Online Heists and the new GTA Online Capture the Flag mode to share with you next week. We will also have initial details on more additional content coming for both Story Mode and GTA Online in the next few weeks.

i'm assuming because they were talking about the beach bum pack, that this was totally different content?

If R* allowed for the content creator to be available in singleplayer it would alleviate a lot of issues of the singleplayer I have. We would be able to create the set pieces to interact with. Making a mission where you steal a truck and trailers cargo with bad guys guarding, then giving chase. Make a vehicle to tail around an area, Assassination missions, though I have not seen how the content creator works yet, from what I understand you can create missions with it. That way it's be easy to squeeze a lot of life from singleplayer. They could unlock all the vehicles in game so we can place them in the mission creator...I don't know just a though.

Let's be honest - Rockstar, along with being a developer of IMHO the best games on the planet, are also a money-making machine. And they're going to be making their development decisions around how many units they think they can shift.

And the lessons from IV weren't great for DLC.

The game itself sold 6 million copies in its first week of release.

Episodes from Liberty City was estimated to only sell 2 million copies in total (and that's for both episodes - about a million each):

http://www.gamespot....v/1100-6242842/

Given the insane success of GTA5 - well, what would you rather spend your time and resources on? Some episodic SP DLC that will make you a few tens of millions after 6 months to a year's work? Or get straight into the next big project that could make another billion?

The market data - rather than what a few of us noisy folks say on a message board - would suggest that moving onto the next big project is the prudent financial move for Rockstar......as much as I would enjoy more SP DLC......
