Activision confirms new Call of Duty and Skylanders for 2014!

"We also expect to launch new call of duty and skylanders and a major new potential franchise with bungie's destiny"

While it's still unknown what next year's call of duty title could be, sledgehammer is rumoured to be working on Modern warfare 4.

Fun fact: Even though COD releases every year, each new game actually has a 3 year development period!

In other news the sun has announced it will indeed rise tomorrow  and the Pope has come out to clarify that he is indeed Catholic.

Let's guess what the new CoD will be about!

I say it will be about trained llamas that have to fight in the space against evil Russian troops that try to dominate the United States.

Edit, nah, nevermind, too much innovation...

More perks more kill streaks more simple minded kids more campers less balance and ofcourse different weapon skins, i cant understand how anyone can be so naive to keep buying these games. Treyarch and infinity ward smoking $ 20k cigars right now and laughing bout how stupid people can be.

Can we now use this thread to split all discussion related to CoD: Ghosts? All the obnoxious people who want to lament the state of the gaming industry, the idiots ruining their intellectual hobby by buying up Call of Duty Modern Battlefield XXII and who want to feel all smug about their superior tastes can use this thread, and those of us who want to talk about the actual game itself can use the other one.

Cool?

Cool.

So another Game with the over 10 years old engine...

I bet they will make CoD with this ancient engine for the next 5 years so they can release it on current gen... if not longer...

once I was CoD fanboy even playing Gamebattles...

Now I just hate what they have done with this and IW whü show how unqualified they are, more and more

since most of IWs original team left IW, the Studio is just an below average studio which lives from the glory of the old team. And TA isnt much better

I'm calling the facts now:

*The enemies are Russian or South American

*It takes place sometime in the future, either 20 years or a few weeks

*The story will be very very cliche'd

Why do they bother confirming CoD releases, we already know they're yearly.

i will be delighted if it is a new Modern Warfare. No joke either, i LOVE Modern Warfare. Modern Warfare 3 was the best online Call Of Duty ever.

Yep. You either join the bandwagon that loves it,or you join the bandwagon that hates it.

Plus Treyarch is making this one, right? It will be two years since Blops 2 came out.

Weer Rasseens, and we goeen to fackin' nook France to sheet!  Mwahahahahahah!

"Clichéd" is practically an understatement.  I can't take many FPS stories seriously any more.

Meh.

Modern warfare 1 and world at war were decent. Now they're just the same old copied + pasted sh*t. If they started again from scratch, then maybe the series will catch my interest again.

pft mw1 & 2 were very good (only reason mw2 was unpopular was because they pissed off they pc gamers) , only good thing about the treyarch games is the zombies mode.

..and since mw1 they dont copy and paste, they just add a few new functions, build a few new maps/assets, up a few limits and recompile off the base of the last game by relevant studio :D to be fair they havent done to bad considering the engine they are using.

Lol, the story will always be mundane and cliché. A campaign mode is just there to provide the player an experience of partaking in a set of military battles and situations. The characters don't have personalities, they're just there for aid. When it comes to FPS games it's ALL about the multiplayer. That's it.

I always skipped the campaign when I used to play COD. I'd rather go online and play some matches with my buddies than go through some appalling story involving the movement towards eradicating a terrorist figure who threatens to nuke half of the world. Boooring.

I can't remember the last time I watched a game's story and didn't feel like skipping past it.

Call of Duty is a joke. Why pay $70+ for new dlc every year?

If you pay more than $60 for a game (In the US at least), then you're a chump.

Then the majority of U.S. gamers are chumps. I pay $65 with tax. :pp

I hate when they do like this, sure we all knew it but still.

What I hate is when they release a new game (this goes for bf to as the mentioned bf 5 already, which means it will be out in 1-2 years) and in like the same day or week they go like "DLC will drop very shortly after the release, and oh we forgot to mention that we have a sequel coming up next year!" You just don't announce a new game when you release one!!!! Do that on events like E3 or VGA.

I have got the new cod for ps4 and I am excited for it since I skipped BO2 and did not play MW3 so much.

If it's what we call "Sledge Hammer games Call of Duty" then that will be interesting , if it's Treyarch then I won't be that interested

I'm sick of CoD at this point. I can only assume it won't be much different.
