A Place for Police and EMS roleplay, within public and private lobbies, with setup and random events.

Social Club: http://socialclub.rockstargames.com/crew/state_police_sa

External Site: SASP Site

Civilians Also Welcome To Apply.

Civilians are welcome provided they understand the concept and how to roleplay in such situations. Not every traffic stop can end in a firefight.

Summary:

This crew is for those who want a serious environment for roleplay within GTA Online. I noticed one of these was lacking for the PS3 side of things, after spending a few weeks in and out of various EMS/Police crew's and finding they either "talked the talk but didn't walk the walk" so to speak or flat out were just taking the name yet no roleplay involved, i decided perhaps il give it a go at forming what i was seeking. It is a hope that there are others out there who wish for something like this too.

The crew is formed around the police aspect, however there is plenty of space for other emergency service personnel alongside. All are encouraged to come along, if you see a service not mentioned and you believe there is a niche for it, then let me know and we can work it into the concept.

Overall, the idea is for some good fun roleplay.

Requirements:

-16+ of Age.

(This is conditional, if a large amount of immaturity stems from this decision it WILL be raised to 18+. Being 27 myself, i have no urge to spend time talking to 12yr olds, Sorry.)

-Some idea of Roleplay Concepts.

(We welcome beginners, however please do be aware of what being part of a roleplay crew entitles before applying)

-Mics are Preferred

(Be aware a large part of the roleplay experience is through mic's, those without are still welcome, however we cannot guarantee any progression to specialized roles outlined later in this post due to the burden not having a mic entails.)

Where we are currently:

Right now, im aiming to get this off the ground. I welcome players who wish just to be part of the group but i am actively seeking those who seek to help out. Three roles need to be filled for the setup of the clan:

-US time zone Organiser - I am GMT zone. I need someone to basically keep things running for the american part. This role is really only for someone who understands and shares the concept of the guild, has the level of time and effort to put into it and is willing to take the workload on.

-Dispatch Trainers - Also seeking someone who has knowledge of the dispatcher role within police roleplay. This is to help train those who wish to become dispatchers within the crew.

- Group leaders - These are people responsible for getting everyone together in the same lobbies, keeping an eye on activity of members, generally helping get the games running.

-EMS Leaders - While these sections wont be as large as the police side of things, someone to manage the Fire service side (Ambulances are counted as part of the Fire service within the crew)

As i mentioned above, ordinary players who want to be outside these roles are more than welcome to sign on up.

How it works

Members will be separated into groups (Sections) of four members. These sections will include your call sign and unit number however they are not concrete. Sections can and will be merged on a per-patrol basis to make up numbers. Sections are purely there to place those in similar play times together.

Within a lobby there will be one dispatcher. The dispatcher handles all current units within that lobby. The numbers of members in each lobby depends on the situation however the aim is to be between 8 - 10 in public lobby's.  This can be made up of two sections, or a one and a half sections and various EMS units. The dispatcher will then dispatch those within the session to various areas when crimes are reported (in public lobbies these are by the units themselves, in private lobbies our own civilians will "call" the dispatcher on a 911 call)

Patrols

Patrols are split into three different types.

Formal Patrols - These are scheduled patrols in private lobbies, where the crew will split, with some becoming civilians for the night. This involves a normal patrol around a select area and the civilians do whatever they wish to cause crime and the cops attempt to catch them. This is entirely "in-crew" meaning the crimes can range from driving offenses, to all out shoot outs.

Public Patrols  - These form the bulk of the crew activities, unscheduled and taking part in public lobbies involving other players. Officers can attempt to stop crimes taking place calling them in when they themselves see them. This will be the most chaotic and unorganized of the three types.

Scenario's - These are organised around a private game mode such as survival or deathmatches. They may or may not involve civilian players. Especially once custom creator missions are available. These can involve things such as gang operations, hostage situations, terrorist attacks ect. All specifically setup using the scenario at hand.

Uniforms and Vehicles.

Uniforms

We aim to operate an authentic uniform, however the restrictions implied by GTAO's clothing system makes this a challenge.

Cadets: Cadets will use the crew t-shirt with emblem on the chest (small emblem). Baggy slate suit trousers, black shoes.

Officers.

Officer uniforms differ depending on personal preference and area of operations.

Los Santos City: After much messing around the main uniform will be a copy of the airport police units.

Black Slate suit trousers, Black tucked shirt, Black /Grey tie. Black armour (standard armour), Black shoes or boots.

Blaine County: Tan Work Trousers, White tucked in shirt, Green armour, Black shoes or boots.

Alternative Blaine County: Olive Combats, White tucked in shirt, Green or black armour, Black boots.

Vehicles:

Vehicles are somewhat loosely restricted purely because a bit of variety is never a bad thing. We do however restrict vehicle use by area of operations. (I.e no sheriff cars in the city ect)

Los santos operations:

Both the Dominator and the Crown Vic Cruisers are allowed at personal preference.

The police Bike can be used.

ONE Un-marked car can be used , either the FIB granger or buffalo, can be used per patrol at any one time. This is at the dispatchers discretion as they will know if one is active in the area.

The transporter van can be used but again in moderation, there is no official limit however do remember that they are as fast as a bus and therefore not suited to pursuits.

Blaine county:

Officers can use both the Sheriff Cruiser and SUV.

SOG - Special Operations Group

The SOG is the equivalence of SWAT units. This is not a permanent Unit but rather a qualification given to an officer.

Officers once given this designation, following training, when needed can be called on by the dispatcher to leave patrol, group up and become a unit controlled only by the dispatcher.

When this is active they answer to the highest ranking officer in the patrol and are exempt from normal calls. They use a mixture of patrol cars and riot vans.

EMS and Specialists

Specialists are non-police based personel that play a different role normally during formal patrols and scenarios. They are declared to the dispatcher at the start of the patrol and then called by the dispatcher when needed.

Fire and EMS:

Both of these use their respective engines (Ambulances with the fire service decals preferred but not enforced)

Uniforms: Ive yet to come up with good EMS uniforms, suggestions welcome.

Air Support:

Normal officers can apply for the designation as pilot. They remain on patrol until called and then allocated by the dispatcher to take to the air.

Park Rangers

Park rangers can apply and will be assigned a unit number, however be aware that you are restricted to woodlands and parks. Any officer can become a park ranger in scenarios and formal patrols where they feel it may be more active.

Schedule

Exact days are up for discussion however the following is a general plan.

Two formal patrols a week - more if desired.

One Scenario night a week

Attendance is not mandatory however it will be monitored and repeat absences will result in action.

Ten Code System

Radio chatter will consist heavily of ten code speak especially to and fro between the dispatcher.

(Ten Code List can be found on our website.)

Applications Through our site: SASP Official Site

I believe that is everything, il add pictures at some point today and this is merely to register interest. The social club crew is up and i welcome people to join but be aware this is an early stage and i really do need the aid of the positions listed towards the top.

Any questions/offers of help ect, Please give me a PM here.

Figured you'd want me moving it there since according to forum guidelines you can only be apart of one "gang" at a time.

Edit-Also if you did in fact want this thread in the gang section I hope you realize that you're fully expected to operate solely from these forums and not have links a external clan website. And to top it off you need a roster and a application and you're good to go.

I was saving the application for the recruitment post. Since I didn't want to be recruiting in the clan section.

And In a game that allows up to 5 consecutive crews per character this site limits to one?...wut?.

So whats being said here is that for those of us who are part of US timezone crews...we cant also look for crews to play with in times where we would otherwise be alone, since said crew is empty during those times?

Off site there is nothing stopping you from joining as many crews as you can but while you operate in the gang section you must adhere to the one "gang" only rule.  There is nothing stopping you from posting this thread in the recruitment section though if your simply looking for a crew that more fits in with your timezone.
