gta4 was superior. was disappointed that gta5's multiplayer wasn't a sequel to gta4's. gta5's multiplayer just doesn't have the replay value that gta4's had. I miss all the innovative game modes like mafiya work

It's hard to tell.

I'm loving GTAV online, but I feel I got immersed in GTAIV's online more, but when I got Xbox Live for the first time, I played GTAIV like crazy because I had always wanted the opportunity to play online.

I prefer GTA 5's online mode. If only they brought over some of the game modes from 4 (along with being able to race everything from Faggios to buses), along with the ability to turn your phone off, it'd be perfect.

R* need to fix GTA:O, especially matchmaking.
With GTA IV the online lobby's where always full, no matter what type of game mode, race, tdm, noose, turf wars etc. always full. With GTA:O I always wait and wait, when my friends are not online and I want to race... eee I can forget about it, either no one joins my races and the random ones are the usual Criminal Records, Down the Drain.

Competely different games, with completely different aims and playstyles.

I'd say I enjoy GTAO much more if it comes down it.

For the record Bottom Gun, GTA 5 also has Rally Race mode, putting it on par with IV in that respect with 3 a piece. If you count the impromptu race feature in free mode, possibly 4.

Honestly as many options as GTA IV afforded, I'm having as much fun playing with my crew as I had on IV playing with a group of friends, so my opinion's fairly neutral.

I forgot to imply Impromptu races. That's a great feature in 5

GTA 4 had so good game mode and settings, however the free roam got boring fast and all you do is kill other players.

I do agree that GTA 4 had a better driving engine. Otherwise GTA 5 is superior in every other way.

gta 5 everything of course. Although the flying is the same, except for the really minor turbulence. But that's just realistic + doesn't affect flying at all in gta 5.

I have to disagree. As a long "pilot" in GTA4 I can confidently say they f*cked up the flying a lot in V. I was looking forward to helicopters in V because it's the only thing I was great with in 4. In V I just flat out suck now :(

I played IV's multiplayer mode from 09 until V came out. I hardly play V's mulitplayer. I think that answers your question.

You cannot farm money/RP from missions

People farm RP from 'Criminal Records' and farm cash from 'Coveted' all the time.

Uhhhhhhhhh...I keep posting my opinions so it can be bumped.

How about I deal with it by sharing some more of my opinions?

Or would you like to tell me to calm down ??? because you assume way too much

technically GTA 5 is better in every way IMO
it looks better, drives better and shoots better
only thing that's kind of lacking is game modes (although there are PvP missions very similar to car jack city or jobs you did on mafiya work that no1 ever plays)

I just think the whole persistent MMO crap kind of sucks and that was the only thing gta 4 really did better
all that mattered was skill, not how long you've played the game or how much money you glitched together
