1 ) V; best HUD in GTA games R* has created yet
2 ) Chinatown Wars DS version; because i think weapon changing in V was a successor to it
3 ) IV; it was a big improvement to 3 era huds
4 ) SA, LCS, VCS; These had best HUDs in 3 era
5 ) VC; Adding "Map" section in menu
6 ) 3; better than nothing, good for first days of migration to 3D... Good Old Days
7 ) Advance; Best HUD in top down titles

GTA 3 had the best looking HUD and Radar, IMHO. Gotta love the yellows and blacks.

That's still not apart of the HUD.. all 3d era games basically use the same HUD.

I think V is the best so far, but the special bar really ruins the look of it if you ask me.

I think the IV got the best HUD so far, very simplistic with only radar, health and armor being on screen. V got similar one, but the round radar was nicer in my opinion.

The HD GTAs are much neater and organised IMO. Going back to the old games the screens look very cluttered and messy.

GTA IV and GTAV have the best HUDs and radar systems. They are a lot better in HD-era games compared to previous games because it's kept easy and it takes less space overall.

Would you stop coming after me everywhere in this forum, and say "YOU'RE SAYING BULLSH*T" ? How do you name yourself a "decent modder" when you say all 3 era huds are the same, kid?

IV & V. I personally thought IV's was better. When driving, I like the GPS to be the way it was in IV.

GTA V's hud. Radar, Weapon Menu & Radio Menu. All perfect.

Seems to me the best HUD I've seen is that of GTA V. I like the GTA IV HUD personally being the first HUD in the entire series to feature GPS, but GTA V's 3D rendering of the radar system is really perfect. Also the weapon cycle has been greatly improved, reusing RDR's classic weapon wheel.

I love the look of all of 3 serious huds, but V is better. Hated 4s though.

IV. The less on screen the better. I would have said V's but I hate the minimap. There should have been an option to choose between the GPS style and the classic top down display for it.

IV and V for me. The less there is on the screen, the better.

I loved the 3D era ones, especially San Andreas one. The HD games follow the modern "less is more" "minimalistic" approach which I don't like.

I like the HD ones as well, less cluttered. The 3D ones just have too much on the screen.

I always loved TLAD's dirty grimy HUD. It just always fit the game and is therefore my favorite. After that, I'd probably pick V's.

All of them. Each game has it's own distinctive HUD that fits the theme perfectly.

I like more the 3D one, with the fist and money on top, classic.

I'd go with 3D Era HUDs and radar.

IVs seems to be lifted from Saints row, or other games.

IV has the best health and armour display, but I really like V's GPS style map.

gta IV. the circular mini map just looks better than a square map in my opinion. and the health bar was much bigger so you can actually gauge how long you can survive.

GTA 3, VC and Advance have the best HUDs for me because of number display for health and armor. I didn't like the rest HUDs because of bars display.

I like GTA V's and both GTA VC's III's interfaces. I dislike GTA SA's hud because of how "black" and boring it is, and GTA IV's hud was just "meh" to me. Though GTA TLAD's hud was awesome.

GTA 4 and GTA 5. They made them smaller and kept it simple.

I liked SA's HUD because it was simple and laid out, and you could always see everything at once. I guess the entire III era is held in high regards, personally, because they all share the same HUD with color and icon differences.
