Only thing SA has over V is multiple cities imo.

Everything else was a foundation to V.

SA had more activities like going to the gym, casinos, police missons.

v has none of that

Gym is Boring Casinos Are boring police missions are Repetitive.

V's map is nearly two times bigger than SA's map, are you blinded by draw distance or what?

San Andreas felt bigger to me.

Do not forget that the underwater part also is included when talking GTA V map size.

^No. Multiple targets in varying locations and situations. Plus, if most wanted wasn't your thing, you could just do recent crimes instead,

Whereas in SA it's the same thing over again. Drive by the suspects car, level passed, add another crook to the next suspects car, rinse and repeat.

Honestly all of SA's side missions are like that, but the game has "so much to do" I guess all is forgiven.

Well there's good in that too. It gets more difficult over time, and you get payed more, while in IV, well it's easy. They're difficult if you have to chase a car with armed people doing driveby tho (not sure if these happen, I just remembered one of the story missions)

V is the best GTA, no doubt about it. Yes every game has something special that another game doesn't have, but it doesn't mean it's better. Like V has tons of things that other Rockstar's games don't have. All in all IV and SA like other older games will still be enjoyable and wont be forgotten.  :^:

i would rather play tennis or Golf than doing sh*tty Ambulance missions

While golf and tennis are pretty dull imo, ambulance missions felt repetitive.

I'd take Tennis over the Zero missions in San Andreas.

That's because it is. I'm sorry, but I don't find saving peds after I've just gone on a rampage all that fun.

Bigger map? You've gotta be kidding.

More side missions? Quality is better than quantity.

^f*cking this.

GTA V had a better story, GTA SA on the other hand...

GTA SA's story is garbage.

GTA SA's story is garbage.

So if your mom was shot, you wouldn't do sh*t about it?

Do yourself a favor and go kiss your mom.

Why do I get the distinct feeling the person who created this topic, has never played V(5).

I really couldn't feel anything for this aspect of SA's story. From the opening cutscene it was drilled in, but some time after leaving LS I stopped giving a sh*t. Not that I cared too much anyway.

San Andreas story was way better then V... V was terrible... A snitch, a methhead, and a buster... Who wants to play with those guys... That's why since online dropped I haven't touched the terrible story mode...I mean they could of kept somewhat of a hood part to the game. Even the hood character was a little bitch... They pretty much eliminated if from the game... I mean even the ghetto neighborhoods are tiny...

Because it wasn't made to be a SA sequel? If you want to live out some hood fantasy stick to SA.

As much as I like San Andreas (I still play it for mods), it doesn't top GTA V. San Andreas does not have a bigger map, it has sh*tty draw distance (I can't even play San Andreas without the 4x draw distance mod) which makes the map look bigger. Just look at this picture:

82r3.png

Rockstar sure did a good job of makling the map feel huge.

And as for side missions, alot of them were mundane and I just ignored then anyway, dating, pool, dancing and hydraulic bouncing all sucked. As for other things like gambling and betting didn't suck but never appealed to me.

IMO both games are great in their own way.

San Andreas:

- 3 Cities, Countryside and Desert

- Memorable storyline and characters (CJ, Cesar, Big Smoke, The Truth, Tenpenny, Pulaski)

- Gang Wars

- Ghettos felt believable

- Mt Chilliad was much better in SA IMO

- Better BMX and Mountain Bike physics

V:

- 3 Playable Characters

- Memorable storyline and good variety of missions, but characters felt kind of, meh (Steve Haines, Devin Weston, Stretch, Cheng, Dave Norton and Martin Madrazo were all weak antagonists they never really had that fear factor to them like Bulgarin from Ballad, Tenpenny from SA or Sonny from VC) Lamar was the only non playable character who I liked tbh. And although I liked all 3 protagonists I felt like Franklin was just thrown in there to please the SA fanboys. He seems to just fade into the background and his story takes a back seat after the Vangelico Heist.

- Better and more detailed Map, although Mt Chilliad is sh*t in V and South Central felt flat.

- Better driving and shooting physics, better cars, more customisation

- Better side activities and side missions (I do miss the nightclubs and drug wars from BoGT, and the gang wars from SA though)

- Better graphics (obviously)

No Sorry i have been Switching in Between  IV  V And S.A lot Recently and the only thing  san andreas does best is the Soundtrack IMO   other than that IV And V Are both Better even the Storyline In V (which was Disappointing) was still better and made more Logical Sense than the Mess In S.A. san andreas is in its own right a classic i loved It growing up but unlike some people My judgement is not Clouded In Nostalgia so i can see that IV Demolished it and V has it beat somewhat  Comfortably Aswell IMO.

GTA SA is pretty boring to me now, like MVC said, everything after LS seemed tacked on and didn't have anything to do with the main plot. The side missions are boring as well, the only ones I like are gang wars and vigilante missions, but those get old quick.

Game would have been better if it focused more on Tenpenny and dealing with CJ's moms killers.

Every time someone mentions the Gym from SA as an interesting side mission I want to slap them with a sledgehammer.

It was literally tap A/X/Whatever button it is on PC, the mini-game.

I'm glad it's dead, and hope to baby zenu that it stays dead.

San Andreas blows GTA 5 away by a mile. San Andreas was the best PS2 game in history with its massive content and high replay value. You can't lie and say you had a way better time with GTA 5 when in San Andreas it takes you across the f*cking god damn state in a amazing rags to riches tale.

Ayyy lmao, 1 year late reply (10ish months but still), but Carl returning home because of his mother being shot was the only interesting part of the story, right after "The Green Sabre" is where SA's story turns from pretty good, to utter bullsh*t. I didn't mention sh*t about his mum.
