If you notice, the cars in that video expand rather than crush inward.  That is the kind of physics you guys want?  In gta 5, if you hit your car in one spot, and keep doing it, it will still get damaged.  But in gta 4, if you do that, it will just keep denting around the original dent.  So, bottom line is this, the damage in gta 5 is a step above gta 4 damage.  But it takes a little more to do it.

Nothing wrong with the vehicle damage now. It was improved in one of the older patches.

Better then having your car go through a war, and the bumper won't fall off.

It's crazy watching people still say there's nothing wrong with the game

If you want beamNG physics, then we will have to lose a lot of the map.

And people tend to say we're the delusionals, they're the ones who are stucked in the past on some nostalgia trip of features that didn't even make sense or where really repetitive yet they didn't complaint about.

We are stil delusional. That damage is not real and we are imagining things.

the ps2/xbox gta games (and many others) had better/more consistent damage congruency,

Yes it's possible to make cars look like they've been dragged through hell, but what lengths do you have to go to to do that?

people defending it, saying it wouldn't be possible to make it better without detracting from something else...  you're a major part of the problem here

That damage is real baby. And for the Crashes on the PS2, they didn't even have dents or body damage like this, the only real damage was a couple of scratch textures and doors or other parts of the car falling off.

My eyes do not lie. The damage is so inconsistant that it's embarrassing. I ram another vehicle head-on, no damage other than a broken light, even if that happens. I ram into a wall at full speed, nothing. You cannot sit there and say the damage is great. It makes no sense. It's worse than Saints Row. At least in Saints Row a tank will flatten a vehicle out. And before you tell me to just go play SR, I think SR is a cheap immitation. I've loved GTA since 1, but this one is two steps back in so many ways, and I hope R* takes notice and get back to quality and innovation. V's damage model is terrible, even compared to older GTA games.

I swear, sometimes I feel like I'm playing a different game. Some of you play on xbox maybe? Maybe you were driving your personal vehicles and forgot you put 100% armor on them? Because I keep hearing everyone say that there is very little crash deformation but my experience is quite different. I will hit destructable environment objects and have my lights shattered and my hood latches broken or warped. One or two solid hits on a front corner and my wheel is locked up in the wheel well, though there is some variance by vehicle. The other day I thought it could use an adjustment on some of the bigger off road trucks like the Rebel and the Duneloader, as I slide into a barrier once with the Duneloader, braking around a corner going probably 35 mph and my wheel locked up. It has too much ground clearance to be smashed into the wheel well, I mean, sure you could break an axle but they're made for off-roading. I've heard it happens fairly often to the rebel as well, though I haven't driven it much.

I was being sarcastic. We show people many exampled of cars being totaled to hell but they still say there is no damage.
