Don't be stupid, enjoy your time now get the most out of it but every mmo deals with exploiters AFTER the exploits have been patched, it would be self-defeating to do all the work of resetting accounts just to have those people do it again.

So in short, don't get your hopes up. There will be some action taken to deal with money that was gotten unfairly.

Hahahahahaha

Have you ever played Saints Row ? (the original one) there were a ton of glitches on that game, the clothes glitch, pipe bomb glitch, out the lobby glitch etc...never got patched and there were never any reprocussions. Get lost.

Were the saints row developers hoping to make a ton of real money by selling in game currency?

Didn't think so

OMG at 6 dollars per hour to play no f*cking wonder I never played it!

I've always seen Ultima Online and Everquest as the first real MMO's though but that's just my opinion. Also MUDS aren't MMO's.

We had MUDs in the late 80's. The technology wasn't present for an MMO until a little later, but that doesn't mean there wasn't an earlier form of them around for years.

Yeah and I played a sh*t ton of them. I was even involved in developing a few but those are MUD'S, not an MMO. The reason it's not an mmo is that they didn't exactly support thousands of simultaneous connections. Most were limited by code and tech at the time to a few hundred at most.

I played my first MMO in 1998, which was the world's first "modern MMO", Nexus TK The Kingdom of the Winds..  So OP isn't lying.  MMO's were around for a while.

and the glitchers on Red Dead Redemption were left alone.  You have to remember, glitching is part of the code.   The only REAL offense are the people who mod the game via hacked consoles.  THOSE people are going to get in trouble.

I'd have to add that completely dysfunctional, piece of toxic poo that was Ultima Online.  What a way to kill off one of the oldest RPGs single player games of all time.

I'm thinking if Rockstar wants to sell cash cards they'll address the money glitching issue. I don't think anyone will be banned, I'm just hoping the characters get reset and garages get emptied.

Well the point is that users can be banned from online games. This isn't really a new concept either. The odds that players will be banned or reset for misconduct is still likely to happen. We have plenty of examples of Blizzard Entertainment being harsh on users who breach their EULA for World of Warcraft, they publicize it as a deterrent.

What last time are you referring to? They banned Red Dead players for modding and that didn't even upset the game as a whole.

They'll probably have no choice but to punish the exploiters because they can't start the stock market online until they do since the glitchers would completely offset the whole thing. Maybe not banning, but possibly resetting.
