So, I watched an Anime Called Sword Art Online and Got this idea to help out GTA online a bit.

We could change the Player Blips on The Mini map to represent the characters.

White Blip = This player has killed no other players during this session.

Orange Blip= This player has killed another player during this session.

Red Blip= This player has frequently killed players in multiple sessions.

  • Killing a player with a bounty would not effect your color status.
  • Killing a red player would not effect your color status.
  • Killing a white blip will make you turn orange.
  • Killing 3 orange blips will make you orange.

This way we can basically know who is friendly and who isn't. I don't like shooting on sight. And I rarely do. But Sometimes if someone turns around too fast, You gotta clip em.

If there's no way to tell who has a bounty and who doesn't, then anytime people log into a server, it'd be easier for them to just kill everyone to probe for bounties.  You'd have more mindless violence as people would think that at any moment any person could have a bounty and would just seek out blips on the map to sadistically murder on the off chance that one of them may have a bounty.

It doesn't say remove the bounty indicator. Right now bounties are red circles with an X through them. That could still work.

This is actually a great idea in my opinion, we would easily be able to tell who is a griefer and who isn't.

This is a pretty cool idea, although colours may get a bit confusing if people are using conflicting Crew colours.

Off topic, you must be feeling pretty disappointed about the second half of SAO. Don't worry OP, I know your pain...

Red blips are already used.

Also, I don't think we really need even more clutter on the mini-map.  It's already a clusterf*ck of bullsh*t in freemode.

have to agree that it is already pretty cluttered. often hear people complaining how they can't find someone or something of the sort.

BUT i love this idea... maybe something not color related somehow (as someone else mentioned, crew colors would get in the way)

Why killing a red player wouldn't "effect" its blip color?

This was a good idea, but it was poorly implemented by Rockstar.

Had to search a bit for this one? What's the point in digging up old threads?

Well, this didn't need bumping, considering that the topic is no longer relevant.
