Is it really necessary to have flood control on forum searches? I can totally understand it on posting, but on the odd occasion I do a search, I normally like to do 2 or 3 at a time.

Could we at least take it down to about 30 secs :)?

Performing a search on a forum as large as this is a big task for the server to handle. If there was no flood control, people with malicious intent, or even a lot of members searching at once could strain the server by constantly submitting search queries, so yes, it is necessary.

Same reason.

Use google; search for:

site:gtaforums.com (whatever you're searching for)
