I'm hoping that once the dust settles, Rockstar will give us payouts that are equal to our efforts instead of just cutting everything in half. I played these two missions last night with one other person and it was ridiculous how different they were:

Rooftop Rumble -- One group of enemies, maybe like 12 guys. Grab the document, go to Madrazo's (or however you spell it) house. Payout: $12,500. This takes maybe 5-6 minutes, at most. If you fly the heli there and then to the dropoff point, you can do it in 3-4 minutes.

The Los Santos Connection -- Three different locations and groups of enemies. Destroy five vehicles at the hanger. More enemies after you grab the coke. Heli shows up with more enemies. You grab a Buzzard and hunt down the plane that takes off, unless you can destroy it before it has time to take off. Even if you grab a heli to take you around when you start the mission, you're still looking at maybe 15 minutes. I can't remember the exact payout, but I think it's $8000.

That doesn't make sense at all. And because all of the missions are halved, some will never be played. I used to enjoy playing Meth'd Up, because I could do it in just a few minutes and only have to kill two people. But at only $2500, it's a waste of time. And many missions are like this.

I also think they should adjust for the number of players on a team. If I do a mission alone, I should at least get an extra $500 or $1000, maybe even more for the hardest missions.

I understand that Rockstar did this out of desperation because people were farming, but they're basically making everything unbalanced, and some missions will rarely be played again because of it.

Some of the missions and their payout has allways been stupid, and I cant understand WHY they made it like that.

Its like they just made the missions and then set the payouts on random.

Missions that take a long time and that involves tons of enemies pays less than missions that take 3 minutes to do.

Los Santos Customs was 16K before the patch, and that was a terrible payout, seeing as missions such Base Invaders gave 25K, and took a lot less time.

Didn't mission payouts get halved at the same time that they reduced med bills to $500? Maybe them lowering the medical bills directly resulted in them halving the payouts? Not only did they lower the med bills but they also made it to where when you die on a mission you have NO med bills. So really, on some fronts you're losing less money during all aspects of the game.

Though I do agree a lot of the mission time to payout ratios are weird and kind of senseless, like what you guys are saying with base invaders taking way less time and having a much better payout

Yeesh, just have some freaking patience and play the game. It's about the ride and not the destination.

'Docks to Stock' isn't worth the time and money, a big pain in the ass...

They will likely not go back to the old payouts.

I am hoping they won`t touch survival next...

i think they made it a lot better than it was a first

sure the logic in mission payout seems pretty random (take a look at the level requirement though, that explains a lot of of the differences)

but with med bills being lowered and not losing money from dying in missions it's a lot easier to actually save money

sure the high end things still take a long time to buy but at least it's possible now

besides it sucks that missions pay so little but it's pretty Obvious this is because they want to sell cash cards..

Almost any and every mission from Lamar, Gerald and Simeon. Were already useless, halving them just made it clear Rockstar gave zero sh*ts.

I am still making at least 100k per day without stressing, farming, or doing anything remotely close to farming. That amount is enough to live a VERY stress free life IF you have some sort of patience and negates the need for cash cards.

Oh, this thread again...

Sorry, but I don't come here fifty times a day and I hadn't seen anyone posting a comparison on the first page of topics.

In other words, if you don't have anything intelligent to add to the conversation above a cheesy profile pic of an aged porn star's boobs (always the sign of a sophisticated teenager, if you ask me), then just go to the next thread. :-)

Oh yeah. They did this at the same time. And honestly, I think halving some of the missions is a great idea, because then maybe people will play other missions instead. But it's weird to half a mission to only $2500 that takes 5-10 minutes longer to do than a $10,000 one.

Honestly, I think they should have left any of the missions paying $5000 or less alone ... was ANYONE farming those? lol

If I could redo Rooftop Rumble and get a heli each time (which I always do lol) while my 1-3 teammates went ahead of me and killed the guys, then I flew the document to the dropoff point, we could finish that mission every 4-5 minutes, maybe less. Much better than the 15 minutes and much bigger chance at failure of LS Connection.

Yup. They should have left those alone. I'm hoping they take a more analytical look at the mission payouts.

This.

Not to mention the whole "cashcards aren't available thing".

I just think it's silly that - in a 3-man bicycle race that takes less than a minute and a half - you can make nearly 10k for winning.

Or you can do a 7-8 minute mission and only make $500-5000.

90 seconds on American Cycle for $10k (and hell - if you swap with those two friends, you still make about $20k every six minutes, counting loading times, and that's coming in 1st, 2nd, then 3rd place!)...

7+ minutes for MOST missions, bringing $500-5000. Very few missions break 5k now (however, there are several that still do).
