I have the Xbox 360 and plan to get the Playstation 4. My friends plan to play it on the PC. I can't decide which to play it on!

I'm picking it up for the the Xbox One. Shame I'll have to wait a few weeks to play it (because it's coming out on the 360 first) but I think it'll be worth it!

It's not yet confirmed if the Xbox One version will run on 720p.

I'm probably gonna get it on PlayStation 4. Though, as Street Mix sums it up - first-person shooters are sucky-sucky on consoles. Mostly due to the gamepad, which is very uncomfortable in comparison with mouse+keyboard combination (in this genre). I hope the new DualShock will be better.

I honestly feel if next gen can't even run 1080p they should just scrap it and make a new one. What the Xbox One is doing with Battlefield 4 is a joke. Still 720p?? It should atleast be 900p*

Battlefield on console? People are nuts.

Unless you want me to look at various error messages telling me why my computer can't play it, I'll play on xbox 360 thank you very much.

Unfortunately.

DICE said you could run BF4 even on 10-year old PCs.

Huh? This actually isn't confirmation at all and is just pure speculation. I'll wait until some evidence/proof that the Xbox One version is inferior to the PS4 before I start complaining ;). Cheers though!

If anything, I'm just pumped that BF4 will finally be 60fps on consoles.

I feel there is not much point playing it on current gen, the map sizes and visuals are wank on 360, I get that the beta may not have texture packs enabled and such but it seems like you will get a lot more out of either PC or next gen consoles.

So I will have to wait until I decide when I want a PS4 before I end up with the game, now that Watch Dogs is delayed, I have even less incentive to get a next gen console now, which sucks.

But I would recommend next gen, to finally get that increased player count I have been waiting for on consoles in battlefield since 2005.

He doesn't even know what he's talking about. There's no such thing as 900p. Either he's been hit on the head few too many times, domestic violence implied, or is just a really bad troll.

Either way, I'm playing on PC. Since, you know, master race and all that.

But to be fair, since I have a gaming PC.

Of course there is a 900p. BF4 on PS4 isn't 1080p but isn't 720p. Multiple reports say its running higher at about 900p and DICE even said it themselves.

Just like saying 640p isn't possible yet GTA IV and RDR PS3 version run it.

However, they were upscaled from 480p.

How so? Head2Head said native 640p. The 360 version was native 720p.

I'm not sure, but for now I think I'll get it on the PS3. I'll be getting the PS4 around Christmas so eventually I'll upgrade my copy.

Now, Daz mentions this game can run on "10 year old PC's." I have a high-end laptop that runs demanding games at a suitable FPS for me (GTA IV clocks at 25-30FPS on all high, Far Cry 3 clocks to 40+ all high etc.) So I don't know, maybe I'll grab a PC copy as well.

We'll see.

PS4 when I eventually get it.  But for now, I'm just gonna keep my low res Xbox 360 BF3 around.

I don't play military shooters, but if I did I'd go for the PC version. Mostly because of the graphics, but not the way you might think. You see, in multiplayer shooters I find extreme graphics to be very distracting to a point where I can't even see the enemy. I like to tone down all graphical settings aside from textures and some shadows. That way I can see infantry a lot better. All those particle effects, blur and depth of field and whatnot puts me at a disadvantage in multiplayer. There's also the framerate and the fact that first person shooters are best played with a mouse and keyboard.

That's cheating haha, turning all the textures down makes the players stick out like a sore thumb. :p
