I know you can do it in certain mobile browsers. I use Dolphin Browser, and if I go to Settings I can the "User Agent" from Android to Desktop, which makes sites treat me as if I am visiting from a computer instead of a mobile and hence disables the mobile versions of websites.

^ Yeah, I use Dolphin browser on my sisters Android device as well so that works. Not sure about the iOS version but it should be the same.
If you have an iOS device you could try using Atomic web browser, just tell Atomic to identify the web pages as Safari Desktop and you'll be good to go. Apparently you have to pay for this app..I swear I downloaded this app for free once, must have been for a limited time period or something.

iOS, and I don't want to pay for a new web browser. I've seen the option on here to load "full version" but unfortuneately it does not, as i thought it would, save a cookie to remember that choice. Could this be changed back-end?

Yea, I too would love to know how to do this. Im using Chrome on my GS4, and its a bitch to switch to normal version every time.
I usually just keep the page loaded so I dont have to.

Yes, I noticed the pages now appear. Finally I can reply to the Y topic!
Editing and quoting - indeed, these are missing. Multiquote...
