Does anybody know about the real Michael Townley.  He's an ex CIA operative who went to prison for some assassination he did and copped a plea.  He is actually in witsec currently, which is probably hilarious if he is playing GTA.

Townley seems more appropriate.

He doesn't look remotely Hispanic for a start.

De Santa is more of an Italian name.

I voted for De Santa tbh

Just FYI, "de" is a common word for "of" in a lot of romance languages, not necessarily only Spanish.

Townley for me. Sounds more GTA-ish.

De Santa sounds better, but Townley fits Michaels personality better I guess.

In the US, Hispanic implies someone of non European descent who speaks or is of Hispanic(Usually Mexican) descent. De Santa is a Spanish(European) name.

 esp. those of Latin America.

So, primarily Latin America, and not as likely to be used for someone who is Spanish, as you'd probably just say they're, like, Spanish or something.

OT:

Is this thread actually really happening? How long until the Pepsi/Coke Nintendo/Sega threads?

People don't understand that most people from Spain are white. Mostly all spanish speaking Caucasians.

So they are not a mix of white and native American? lol, what kind of fool would think that?

Personally, I liked the sound of Albert De Silva in the early (possibly fake but very accurate) leaks.

Wasn't De Santa an alias Michael used earlier in his career? Trevor mentions this and is partly the reason he discovers that he's alive.

I remember reading that on the GTAwiki, but I haven't heard any mention of it yet.

Michael Townley sounds better, but I prefer when people call him "Mr. De Santa." Sounds like some high powered billionaire douchebag.

Michael Townley sounds a lot better, I don't like De Santa one single bit, I know what that means in English so I find it weird. Even De Silva (possible Beta name) sounds ok, but not De Santa.
