Well...if I had no choice but to chose one...

I'd probably chose the Rebel, due to the AWD and visual customizations. The XL has that Bedcovers, but it doesnt beat a full on chassis upgrade and it only has RWD.

i was stuck in the same spot as you once lol

the rebel looks sick and reminds me of a game i played in 64 when you put the tire in the back, but in the end i had to go with a sandking just looks too badass when you customize it, its huge so people have to aim high and cars can barely hurt it (imagine 100% armor)

the rebel does have different beds so maybe they wont be able to shoot you but sandking xl has four doors..

The sandking is just a monster! It's so huge and powerful. With a turbo fitted its suprisingly quick and with 100% armour practically unstoppable (I've put almost all my money into mine). The only downside is that it's RWD and it really shouldn't.
I'm still hoping for a 4WD patch for a lot of the trucks and offroaders a still please Rockstar.

I have to agree with that, particularly on the Sandking. The on-road variant (Sadler I think) has a 4x4 drivetrain, why is the offroad variant a simple RWD?

If this IS added, then the Sandking is the winner in this poll, no question.

I like to crash into other cars with my Sandking and watch them fly all over the place.

Fully modded, the Rebel is basically a trophy truck. Looks way better rusted or clean.

The Sandking is RWD? Since when?

Have you tipped it upside down and seen which wheels move? Because I would assume it's 4WD....

The clean one can't be modified so good as the rusted one I think. got a clean 1 atm but nothing special to be modded

yup. i have a fully modded black one in my garage right now

it let me put the turbo and all the high level suspension, transmission etc on it. only thing i couldn't really modify was the appearance other than a paintjob.

You can't put any visual mods on the clean Rebel unfortunately.

I'm going to have to go with the Rebel because of its AWD capability and Baja mods.

Me and my crew go off-roading all the time and all the Sandking drivers agree that it's only RWD. The non-Sandkings in our group drive Merryweather Mesas and Karin Rebels.

What does AWD do for it, outside of grip on off-road?

http://en.wikipedia....All_wheel_drive

All wheel drive refers to a drive train system that includes a differential between the front and rear drive shafts. This is normally coupled with some sort of anti-slip technology that will allow differentials to spin at different speeds, but still maintain the ability to transfer torque from one wheel in case of loss of traction at that wheel.

It's really noticeable when you're driving a Merryweather Mesa up Mt. Chilliad.

wtf are you bumping anything for? this forum does not bump any posts to the front page unless a mod does it themselves, and there are still being comments made... come on....

Is the Mesa really that great as an OVERALL truck? Could I use it as a getaway truck, for example?

Someone on my crew has a fully decked "rusty" one that's a full on Baja trophy truck... It was fun as hell to drive over the mountains, not quite the same (giant marshmallow) feel as my tricked Sandking XL, but still a killer ride... I think if your looking for something in between a Sandking and a BF Injection, the Rebel is a great option!

Fully upgraded it's pretty fast. Faster than the Sandking, Rebel and BF Injection. The only problem is that the windows are huge so it might be easy to get shot while escaping.
