I just want to have the option to make a game where i can play gta iv online but in gta v that would be great... I mean all i want is the option they can keep the current the same just give an extra option to make an invite only(or not) that has no cops and you can just screw around with your friends...

now i played some deathmatchs and am earning around 15-20k an hour but even then it still takes FOREVER to earn a lot of money like it will take me months and great investing before i can afford a nice car and a nice house. I think they should make their jobs pay more for example if i am stealing a car i should get at least 10k and for deathmatches though if i do well i can make excess of 10k gta v is turning into a game that is as frustrating as COD. All i wanted from GTA V was the ability to go relax with some friends and get in a fight with another crew every once and a while. I wanted the option to play gta iv online but in gta v.

I know what you mean, I enjoy GTA:Online to some extent but it just seems so tedious sometimes, kind of like forcing you to do countless missions and earn money before you can do certain other things and can take forever depending on how you like to play it, plus the awful 'Passive' options and the awful Bad Sport mode you get slapped with for blowing up a car. You can't even steal a car without cops trolling you.

I wanted (at least in addition to this) to be able to start a separate 'classic' free-mode in the style of GTA IV's and be able to set up server options such as weapon sets, spawn areas, ability to turn off cops/friendly fire etc. and have health and weapon pickups, also 32 players as opposed to 16 as I feel the map is too huge to enjoy with just 16 players, by the time you reach a players location they are back where you started. Shootouts and drag races at the airport were epic in GTA IV and I wish it would return.

Yeah everyone says, "F**k off and play GTA IV if you love it so much." but that isn't the point, I still play IV online but I want the option to access these modes within Los Santos and eventually a re-rendered Liberty City with V's graphics etc.

End of the day the option should of been in there for players who would like to do the free mode thing without being branded a 'bad sport' for blowing something up/retaliating to people trying to shoot you (something that was naturally going to happen) that way everybody is happy, people who want to shoot and blow stuff up can do so in harmony and the people who hated IV's free mode etc. can take their own advice and play the others modes.

GTA Online was such a failure.

brb exploits everywhere

brb tanks and rpg's everywhere

brb 2 real day wait time when classified as a bad sport

brb took 3-6 days for people to be able to join

brb no casino's

Only things I've been disappointed with is the bad sport system(was actually looking forward to it at first, now I'm the victim of it) and the way helicopters and planes fly. Apart from those two things, online is 10/10 for me.

'Work for your gain' that's the point here, the problem a lot of people are having, there are casual players and players out there who just want to join a quick match, and for some of those players in GTA IV their preference was free-mode, they shouldn't be forced into having to level up and spend forever earning shed-loads of money to buy and use a nice car without having the cops chasing you for stealing one or be able to take on other players without being reprimanded for it, it would of been easy to implement a standard free-roam lobby option for people to set up and play.

Grand Theft Auto Online is an extremely ambitious online game, with an incredible amount of high aspirations, especially for it being available to play on current-gen hardware such as the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. So much hard work, thought, and dedication was poured into this game - GTA Online has been in Rockstar's thought process since the initial launch of Grand Theft Auto III, so the release of GTA Online means a lot to both Rockstar, and many of us dedicated fans here on the forums. Grand Theft Auto Online represents years of hard work and dedication from an experienced team of dedicated developers who have learned how to properly use and manipulate current-gen hardware to creating massively ambitious game titles, and with GTA Online, Rockstar have taken a very bold direction, with a stunning amount of ambitious ideals. GTA Online is something special; something that will evolve overtime thanks to ongoing community feedback and the constant tech support provided by Rockstar. Technical issues should be expected with a game like this, considering the scale of the game. GTA Online is currently going through the teething process as it continues to pass through the first few initial weeks of game launch, so for those who continue to pertain to ongoing technical complications, please sit tight and remain patient - with a game like this, patience, and time are required.

Also: GTA Online is everything I wanted, and more - I appreciate the ambitious approach Rockstar have taken.

Crawl out of R*s ass please

I felt similar to you, I hated GTAO at the start, but I'm warming to it.

One of the problems as a beginner is that you have no idea what to do, don't realize how aggressive the cops are, don't realize that a bunch of 14 year olds are running around trying to kill you, and all you have is a pistol.

It gets better.

I'm afraid if you wanted a free mode with no repercussions, the game is not for you. The cops are very aggressive, and they will go after you.   Just Use a pay and spray to ditch them, or drive into the mountains where there are no roads.

The game came alive when I started playing it my way.

  • I will never buy a car, or a fancy house - Can't see the point
  • All my money goes on guns, ammo and crap (and health care)
  • If you get to level 15 it unlocks survival, which is my current favourite game.
  • For a decent race. Host the race and turn catch-up off.
  • If you're being followed by 14 year olds, climb a building and wait for them. Seeing them die from a height never gets boring.
  • If you get a high wanted level, or a bounty and you don't feel like dealing with it. Just quit and restart, or join a quick game.

Give it some time. You need to find your own groove in this game.

I don't get how people can complain about the 2k you loose when you die. The most jobs I've played pay out about 4-8k. It's nowhere near impossible to earn money. Races is like 1.30 - 3 min long (most of them if 1 lap) and pays out good, you can easily earn 50k in a hour if not more.

Some of us also don't have time all day everyday to play it though. When I get on, I want to relax and have fun- not spend 3 hours grinding to level up and get money. I shouldn't be forced to pay 2K every time I decide to screw around because there are idiots who want to get to level 120 within a week and who need their money kept in check- losing on-hand cash would work perfectly fine instead. I want to be able to play and screw around and die a lot ramming a jet into tanks or parachuting into helicopter blades and being sent across the map without knowing that I'll have to grind and get that money back. That's all we're asking for- it's not a matter of being noobs and dying a lot, it's a matter of being able to do what we enjoyed in RDR and IV.

10k is nothing. I hope you figure out a way to make money. Rob a store then sell an SUV. That's 10k in 5 min usually. To be honest if you don't want to die and lose money, you have to outsmart those killers in the game. I get killed too don't get me wrong. But I always tip the fight in my favor. Run to a spot where u can be in cover and take them out. As for cops that's just how they are. Outsmart them too. Don't be afraid to shoot there ass. If you get a helicopter hide in a train tunnel or under a bridge. Don't get hit by the train.

But to answer your question I'm just a little disappointed but he have heist to look forward too. And the game is fun most of the time. We are just the testers. I'm sure when the next gen consoles come out, that online will be wayyyy better.

In one hour I make over 60k doing races and death matches

There's been at least once where I've made over 100k in an hour, just need some really good quick games in there.

If you keep replaying Criminal Records with a full group of people, and keep winning, you can easily make more than that.

As for the topic, I haven't been disappointed at all, aside from the glitches that delete people's progress. I think it has a really good design for an online version of GTA.

Agreed. Hopefully the heists are as good as SP. The glitches and exploits don't bother me that much but they are getting out of hand.

Go f*cking play Gta IV multiplayer then and stop whining. You can't f*cking have everything your way. A majority of the people like Gta Online including me, and you whining won't change anything. Grow up.

Yeah I would have to say I feel the same way. The game doesn't really seem all that exciting to me. If I want to play death match I'll just play BF4.

oh dear god, your the one bitching jesus all im asking is for them to simply add a feature which btw should not be THAT hard. You on the other hand are telling me to f*ck off and play a game i have already exhausted, i bought gta v to play gta v online and enjoy it not to get screwed over because 51% of the people dont care for the extra feature... frankly i would say if 25% of the people want it(which so far in this thread they do) then add it, it will make them a lot of money, i would be willing to pay 5-10 dollars for just that feature if it comes down to it.
