They did have that one mission early on with Franklin and Lamar where you could shoot the fuel leading to the car that crashed but I don't think it was implemented into free roaming SP or MP. Not 100%, I've just never seen anything like it.

I thought after doing the mission where you try to get Michaels boat back that your cars would break down every now and then and you'd have to go to the mod shop and fix it.

If you're referring to unburnt fuel in the exhausts, then yes. My sultan does it.

No there are videos showing you where to shoot the fuel tank. And showing you it leaks

probably not because people would be driving around with leaking gas and their car would stop working. would be the cause of bad sports. since you can drive vehicles all damaged up it will prob just explode instead of leak

No they don't.  This has really bugged me since I was doing No Hay Bronco and I forgot the jerry can.  Took FOREVER to blow those sh*ts up.  I kept shooting the tank but it was a no go.  This works on all cars in SP, even in free roam.  Weird.

Easier to shoot the engine block with the sawedo-off, think it took less then 10 shells to destroy one car. No clue how shooting an engine block causes it to explode, but whatever.

Yeah in MP shooting the engine seems way more efficient than the tank.

Is it just me, or do cars in GTA V not have a gas cap? It's f*cking weird.

you can shoot the area in front of the back left tire and it will leak in SP. i think it just instantly explodes in MP.

I don't know what game you're playing, but you can puncture gas tanks in SP and it'll leak fuel. Then if you drive it you'll run out of gas.

Anyhow, no the cars in MP do not leak fuel to my knowledge, but there are jerry cans. The punctured fuel tank of a car just instantly explodes.
