So what are we playing the game for then?...you were all pissing and moaning about pay to win and now u have been given a free pay to win card.

The reaction on here is typical of this want everything now generation.Next week when im getting owned by rpg's and sticky bomb's by the dozen at least i would like to know the player earned that sh*t.

Rockstar are not stupid. They know that if they wave the quick fix money in ur face u will get accustomed to it and a fair percentage will start using stimulous packs after this 500k taster.

For the record i have played 30hrs to this point and have enjoyed it greatly...i welcome griefers and pay respect to those who like their own space...i treat leaving my 80k apartment as going out into the unknown and expect to meet mass murderers(griefer's)...it is what this game is about.

I'd say within the next few days. They said they are planning to give the first chunk of it (250k) next week sometime.

So if I make extra characters on my different accounts I can get 500k on each account, lol.

Noooo, it goes to your bank account, so that means you only get a pool of 500k to share between all your characters.

Nice. I already have the 400K apartment and a nice car so I don't know what I'll buy!

If Rockstar gave that 1 billion they made to people on here they'd still complain.

offline players haven't "Gotten" anything.

we paid for an unfinished product, and now the people who play online are acting like it's all been resolved because they got something out of it...

So just because something has technical issues for a few days it's an unfinished product?

are you saying they didn't withhold any features, "overlook" anything, or  leave a ton of stuff out "to be implemented online at a later date?" None of that was deliberate as an online tease?

the game should've been advertised as online-only if they were going to force users online to get any semblance of an actual finished/GAME TESTED product.

What exactly did they withhold for online other than apartments? You're speculating certain features will be added just for online. I'm sorry that you feel the game is unfinished because it doesn't cater to your every unrealistic demand but that's your loss.

- cell phone camera doesn't save anything/there's no gallery without internet/social network

- bawsaq doesn't work without internet/social network, which means no gaming the lester missions for big bucks

- plenty of vehicle/weapons/character uprgrades

- what about all the things they've added with the patches so far? Offline players don't get the same level of gore as online players now, do they?  What about all the other things people are looking forwards to having FIXED with patches, that offline users will never have access to?

You say "my every unrealistic demand"

I'm talking about very basic stuff that games in the 90s got right, and a lot of it. Online players got their car handling/damage upgraded didn't they? offline users sure didn't, and what we're stuck with is below par for 2013. either it's deliberate or nobody at rockstar actually gametested the game offline. Whats's more likely?

- Where did all the basic fun things from past gta games go? Oh that's right, "maybe they'll be implemented as dlc in the future."

There's just way too much of it, an overwhelming amount of features that need changing/upgrading/adding, to say it was all just accidentally overlooked - they're forcing users online or leaving them stuck with an incomplete product.

Just thought of another good example;

The useless dead casino with a big OPENING SOON sign on the front of it.

Are you seriously going to act like that's not a tease for online content?

You really think rockstar/the systems just couldn't handle the programming forcasino games/functions?

Wait, so even the players that boosted to level's above 100 get the money? Meanwhile I still don't have my character.

Good job R*

That makes total f*cking sense.

You're just pulling things out of your ass. Car damage upgrade, same level of gore?

The vehicle and weapon upgrades are exactly the same other than some camos for the guns. If you don't have internet in 2013 that's your problem, not Rockstars. It's time to stop living in 1996.

You have no clue what you're talking about yet you're claiming the game is unfinished. That's laughable.

I said

Online players got their car handling/damage upgraded didn't they?

Are you telling me that all the people on here who mentioned handling/damage changes, and slight changes in impact/exit wounds after the online patches were just making it up?

The vehicle and weapon upgrades are exactly the same other than some camos for the guns.

Wasn't the reticule one of the first things changed?  Other weapons from past gta games aren't going to be added to all the empty racks in the gun stores?

If you don't have internet in 2013 that's your problem, not Rockstars. It's time to stop living in 1996.

I choose not to connect my game system to the internet because I've seen all kinds of things over the years that have made me not want to. Obviously we're both on the internet right now and you're just throwing around insults in place of valid points.

"If you don't have internet in 2013 that's your problem, not Rockstars."

So then you would agree with me that it should've been advertised as an online-only game, right?

Yes this happens all the time. Someone starts a rumor and everyone proceeds to believe it's true without any facts to back it up.

Wasn't the reticule one of the first things changed?

The only thing that was changed was the size of the dot. Its pure preference and isn't an upgrade in any way whatsoever.

Other weapons from past gta games aren't going to be added to all the empty racks in the gun stores?

Maybe they will, maybe they won't. Regardless it'll almost certainly be free so what's your issue with it?

So then you would agree with me that it should've been advertised as an online-only game, right?

No because you can play this game without an internet connection.

With the 100K that you have left afterwards and the little extra money you have to make to afford these.

the only thing i lost were my ahircuts and color on my cars, no big deal. Theyre giving 250,000 sometime next week and the rest at the end of the month because they expect were all "money happy" and spend it on a low end apartment or on the cars. best thing to do is try not to spend alot of money until the complete 500k is in then buy the 400k apartment. rumor has it that bank hies or high end hiest will be availably soon but the need of a high end apartment is improtant

What a load of bullsh*t. I also endured a shaky start of GTA online, I lost my character three times and also lost money. HOWEVER, I'm more than happy with the game the way it is now, no problems. I've spent a lot of time earning money etc to buy a good car and apartment etc. How does R* think giving each player 500,000 gta dollars will make up for the shaky start? It will ruin the game for others as those who have played the game once the past month will be set up with an appartment and good car, taking the fun out of the game. I hope this is not true

are you retarded? The 400k apartment is what a lot of people work towards. The 'expensive clothes and weapons' will take a much shorter time to earn, they are insignificant compared to the most expensive apartment and a hot car, retard.

There are apartments with better views. I have the 253k apartment and the interior is exactly the same and it has a great view, especially at night you can see the beach and the ferris wheel.
Use the rest to buy a car and upgrade it

I actually think this is pretty stupid to be honest it basically means there's nothing to play for aside from just plain old ranking up. If everybody can buy the dearest apartment then there's no bragging rights whatsoever in my view 100,000 in two installments is more than enough. It also means that people who earned 500, 000 by themselves are getting shafted.
