Hello again. I had a question that I hope can be answered. Earlier today, currently as I type this, I was playing online and I realized that I had ZERO aim assist. It caused me to lose $30,000 to two jerks and it was even off in Single Player. I went into the options for the controls and apparently the Targeting Mode wasn't on "Tradition GTA". I know for a fact that I haven't changed this.

Has anyone else had this problem? Is Rockstar aware that this happens?

It was extremely frustrating to be killed by two guys for a total of 10+ times altogether and lose $30,000... I'm not saying that I'm the best, but I know if I had realized the aim assist was off, I wouldn't have lost as many of those encounters, if not any because I had a friend assisting me later on. Before this incident I didn't even know that you *could* disable aim assist.

Online with aim assist is like a bicycle with training wheels.
Its fun, but it's just nit as good as the real thing

Honestly I think the Traditional aiming should be changed to Soft Lock, (used in Red Dead Redemption, one of the best aims I have used, very good to land headshots with ease, if you want to try soft you should definetly use max sensibility). If you are having this issue I'd recommend you to contact Rockstar, OR the hardest one, get used to it, when players start shooting you just roll out behind a wall and get cover. This would break his aim assist.

How did you not realize auto aim was off after you couldn't lock onto the first person that attacked you? Anyway, during single player you set your aiming to auto, traditional, or free. Which ever you choose is the kind of lobby the game will put you in online. So if you put your single player aiming preference to auto aim the game will put you in auto aim servers online. If you have your aiming preference set to free aim te game will put you in free aim servers.

@yonatan755, Even though I agree with Zorenic about your metaphor being accurate, I don't see the relevance in your post.

@ Buford T Justice, I noticed it wasn't working, but at the time I didn't know that the aim assist feature was able to be turned off so I thought that it was just a glitch in the game.
