I just got done finishing a good 3 hours worth of jobs and racked-up about $27,000 in winnings that I wanted to deposit into my bank account. So I go to free mode and go to enable passive mode, but out of nowhere someone puts a $5000 bounty on me, which made no sense because I had just shown up. Anyway, once I saw that I rushed to the website to try and deposit my money, but some asshole ran me over. Most of my earnings are gone and I got charged $5000 for a hospital visit.

I hate to bitch, but this is simply unacceptable. How can some random player I've never even encountered in-game just get away with putting a bounty on my head? Why should their ill-will take precedence over my desire to take a break and deposit my hard-earned money into my bank account?

I sent R* an e-mail about this and all they said is that they'll take my feedback into consideration.

Has this happened to anyone else?

I think the bountys shouldn't last 24 mins or 48 mins. It should take maybe 10 mins maxed to go away. It's so annoying getting a random bounty and you are chased for 24mins.

NPC's place bountys for stolen cars or hurting people

It takes literally ten seconds to deposit money. Should've been quicker bud.

Had a 5000 bounty put on me last night for first time...

Can honestly say It's probably been as good a 22 minutes I've had in the game yet haha

Even in the most northerly regions, they'll still come looking you!

Even though thats just life in gta i still feel bad for you. 27k for 3 hours work thought thats alot slower than average. You can make that in 30min on jobs alone. Im not being a dick but maybe play with some people that know how to make cash quicker and invite only if you wanna bank your cash in piece or have someone to watch for back

I had a horrible spawn point. I couldn't just "be quicker".

That's why you go straight to the website as soon as possible. Don't even waste your time trying to find an atm.

I currently have a 9K bounty on my head from a NPC.

It makes free roam rather uncomfortable, as I'm quite a profitable target.

I don't mind it, makes it interesting. I'm yet to come out from a mission and not be able to deposit the money with my phone before getting hit though. If you can see it's bad, you can also switch to SP really quick, I did that last night while running from someone because I hadn't done  a deposit yet (I forgot) - REALLY didn't want to die at that point.

Should have taken a selfie first, then it'd all have been fine.

Yeah, I went right to the website almost immediately after I spawned and obviously someone got lucky because I spawned right near them and they ran me down.

Can you get rammed down if you're in passive mode?

Yep. Passive mode only stops other players from shooting you.
