I'm genuinely curious. If so why? What for you makes GTA Online more important/better than SP.
I personally rather had a more polished, better written and immersive/engaging Singleplayer than this big emphasis on GTA Online. It only takes away from what once great about GTA, the singleplayer.
Cobbler, stick to thy last.
This. Which IMO, is why SA will always be the most superior in terms of content aka
1. missions, side missions and activities. -- The diversity and quantity of these was both extremely challenging and mind boggling. Especially flight school and some of the insane stunt jumps where you could make a good amount of cash. If you played the PC version, you also got extra free missions from mods. Also the triathalon and boat races, which for some reason, you can no longer compete for cash awards in V. -.-
2. side activities--the amount of sh*t to do after completing the main mission in SA was insane. Tons of fun, challenging sandbox stuff like clubbing/dancing, making gfs jealous, gang banging, gambling & losing millions in the casino in Las Venturas, SA had the most sandbox features and activities which kept you preoccupied for manyh months after the release.
3.character customization--A variety of clothes (to include underwear), jewelry, etc. If you played a modded PC version, this amount went up considerably. The only game which beat SA in this dept is SR1 & SR2 IMO. I loved the fact you could dress CJ up as a trucker or train driver and go make money off these side missions
4. RPG realism--the fact the CJ character had to eat to keep from starving, workout to stay in shape (or not etc). Having to do special missions like the ambulance, firefighter etc. which--although tedious grind after a while--actually served a purpose in the game. Leveling up and completing these early gave CJ a huge boost by the time he (and Ceasar) had to leave Los Santos for San Fierro.
5. dating system (as annoying as that feature was, it made things interesting). Because by the time CJ became a player making millions in Las Venturas, keeping all gfs satisfied became a challenging mini game in itself--especially if he was still seeing Denise And that's not including the hot coffee mod btw....
There was so much sh*t to do in SA that I still play a heavily modded version of it from time to time. Because bottom line is this was the only GTA game in which R* went all out in terms of scope, game play quality and mechanics. Even though graphics have improved with GTA IV and we clearly have a superior map with V, neither of these will ever equal what SA achieved in terms of game play content.
And probably never will, now that R* sold its soul to the cyber devil of MMO gaming. Just like the EABorg. And look at how that particular POS company turned out.
