the story is not shorter than any other gta story.

the only thing than make if feel short is the checkpoint system they implemented.

while in other gta you would have to start from the beggining if you fail a mission, in V you get to continue close to where you fail or even skip a bit of the mission.

I think the 69 missions are not enough for me, because I'm not an online kinda guy (700 or whatever online missions so why not more story ones)

They are very repetitive.
Just kill some people, steal the coke, get chased or lose the coos then deliver the coke.

Missions get better though but everytime a new mission style is introduced about another 10-20 missions stay the samw as it

Yeah but that's basically every open world game. The repetitiveness gets covered up by the story.

Story is the last of it´s problems
Great game no doubt about it.
but
SINGLE PLAYER
Should own the city
Night clubs,dealerships,companies.
flats,houses, the lot.
No 6 star wanted level.
Fewer kevlar than ever.
Topspeed of Supers and Bikes is ridiculously low.
In previous GTAS had no enough road to max cars.
In this there´s lots of accel but no topspeed.
All show and no go.
Classic controls back.
Invincibilty cheat just 5 minutes, otherwise it would be great fun
and that´s not right. If single player is boring you´ll have to
play online.
They don´t let you rampage around.
But they feature the mission
"Torture the dark skinned guy",unnecesary violent stuff"
Looks they had so much to work about scenery and "Realism"
they forgot what GTA was always about.
It´s a game it should be just for fun,as always.
No realistic driving but exagerate car/player damage in crashes.
Somebody wasn´t thinking
Cops are too smart and happy triggered.
Can´t even start a figth without the all over.
Police cars are rockets.
Player is far too weak you fall and die for just about anything.
Far too much car crash death.
Cars made of butter.
Bigger garages,parking lots, whatever.
Can´t even enter in your properties.
2147 Million with stock strategy and...
No houses to buy.
No companies to buy.
Nothing in the sea.
Buzzard is crap ( In IV was just great)
Tank is useless.
No speedometer ( never )
No train missions ( or driving )
No paramedic missions.
No police missions.
No firemen missions.
No lorry missions.
No Mr. Whoopee Crackselling.
No pimp missions.
No pizzaboy missions.
No lowriders competition.
No gang wars.
No flamethrower ( so far )
No nitrous.
No wheelies with bikes or quads.
No tiresmoke ( ridiculous )
No racing exhaust for supercars.
Modified tires are narrower than standards
Topspeed is ridiculous.
Car nose camera is now useless
Camera gets too far behind.
In Franklin´s Buffalo is just perfect.
In Trevor´s Crapmobile goes so far you can´t see a thing.
Camera loops with the plane ( too static )
Not in full HD 1080P
And aiming is crap.
Always aims first the guys far away and you have
a "dude" 1 meter in front of you shooting in your face
and aims anybody but him, even aims first unarmed targets.

It wasn't too bad but it definitely could've done with being a bit longer. It was about 20 missions shorter than GTA IV for example, and that's without even considering the fact that this time we had 3 protagonists. Obviously they had their missions together and with each other, but these should've opened up more doors for each character to do their own individual stuff and flesh it out a bit more.

I didn't want this game to be a case of "in the hood" but I think that Franklin could have had a few more street missions in the earlier parts of the game. Lamar was an excellent character, but unfortunately became a bit underused sometimes. He was hilarious, but got nowhere near enough to do I thought. You had the whole Ballas thing at the start, but that was then just abandoned until it was thrown in at the end, pretty much half-assed to give Franklin his own villian.

Usually I'd hate family related missions, but some of Michael's were actually quite entertaining and we could've maybe done with a few more of them in there, with his family getting into trouble and Michael bailing them out. It wasn't incredibly short, but it could've done with being fleshed out a bit more with each character for me.

R* made this game shorter because people kept complain about how GTA IV's story took way too long to finish. And honestly, I don't see any problem with the story being short. It was fun and nothing ever repeated itself.

Oh no no no!! The brain washing hasn't worked on you yet. You see, less is MOAR!!! Even though a 5 year could probably write a better story. Dan needs to step back and hire real writers because his arrogance is hurting R*'s games. He is not a great writer.

I just realised that before you do the Blitz Play heist, the set up part where you have to buy the masks, boiler suits, steal the garbage truck, steal the tow truck and stash a getaway vehicle are separate missions that account for 5 of the 69 missions.

Which means for the IAA heist, getting the fire truck, police van, stashing another getaway vehicle account for 3 more of the 69 missions.

So basically theres only 61 real missions
