Seriously, I thought that's what analog sticks were for. Why use this archaic system?

I like to have the option to walk, but I agree it makes me use my right thumb so I can't aim and run at the same time. I want to be able to strafe and shoot while moving from cover to cover, but I can only do it while walking. I understand that it's more realistic that you can't aim right while running, but for me it's just all over the place, not even in the right direction.

My god you little sh*t stain enjoy the nostalgia. This reminds me of that sister-f*cker that was complaining about having to push buttons to enter cheat codes like it's a staple of GTA FFS why wouldn't you love the retro feel?

Gently hold the right trigger half way to strafe with a brisk stride instead of aiming with the left and walking.

I have been playing gta since gta2 and that doesn't mean anything. Improving a game by making the controls better and up to date by modern standards is what I'm talking about. Just because that's the way it's always been doesn't mean it's the best way to do things. Ask any game developer and they will tell you the same thing.

Because no one wants to be forced to auto run all the time? Sometimes I like walking, constant auto run would be annoying as f*ck.

I disagree with your opinion. It feels much more natural than just holding down the magic sprint button...

I like having to tap to run. Makes it feel more realistic to me because in order to run faster you need to expend more energy.

no auto run with analog stick. That's why they invented those things. Ever played Mario 64 or any other game made within the last 15 years besides gta?

Ideally I would like to run when I tilt the stick all the way, and walk when I tilt it half way. Sprinting with x is ok though.

I like the way it is myself, like Grottesca said, sprinting should take abit more than simply just pushing the stick. That said, that 30 minute triathlon was a f**kin killer! But it shouldnt be easy! Keep it the way it is is my opinion

f*ck off. Go email Rockstar about the OPTION (not completely replacing what we have now, just a new toggleable option in the Settings menu) for removing the sprint/run button. Maybe then X/A will serve the purpose of always-kicking (like circle/B is for always-punching).

In direct answer to the title: Only if you have a DeLorean.

Also, who cares? It's not like you'd be able to shoot with uber accuracy, running full out anyhow. Probably. Presumably.
