You won't find the phrases 'server error' or 'lost character' in this thread... Apart from just there... Anyway.

For the past couple of days I have found myself turning the radio off almost instantly every time I get into a vehicle. The reason could be that I drive (or DROVE :\) ... *deep breaths* ... a Sabre Turbo and the engine/exhaust makes a rather nice sound of its own. But the more likely reason is that I have heard everything the damn radio has to say one too many times.

I am dreadfully bored of the songs, the ads, the jokes. Everything. And I am sure Lazlo had a much nicer voice in Vice City. Anyway, in this iTunes age we live in. Would it not be very easy for Rockstar (once they've sorted the erversay oblemprays out) to record new shows, add new songs, ads and general content to the radio?

They could perhaps even run with current affairs and do a regularly updated 'Weazel News' take on the world today. The stuff about the iFruit Phone vs Drone seems pretty dated now. Perhaps they could even consider a partnership with Spotify or even iTunes? Or even REAL DAB radio stations. Wouldn't THAT be smart?

PS. I lost my character this morning... Might start a new thread about it.

PPS. Maybe they could also add a radio into the phone for on-foot listening.

Yea i started turning the radio off 2 days in2 the game itself. It'll be nice if the community could make their own radio station or something.

Only on PC unfortunately.. Honestly I dont think this gen of consoles were able to support such feats with the other stuff they implemented, but next gen I'd look for the feature no doubt.

If you play the first xbox.  and you play gta 3.  OMG you can actually listen to a radio station that plays whatever music is on ur hard drive.

That was 2003.  So, good post OP.

I usually turn the radio off during missions because they added some intense background music layer to immerse the player in, which i find nice.

*EDIT*

I want an option to change between GTA: III + GTA: Vice City + GTA: SA + GTA IV soundtracks in GTA V. Even as a DLC that costs, lol.

Worst radio stations of any GTA game by a mile, the music is horrendous.

You're not alone, I've been bored of them for a while. Luckily I've got a headset that can connect to my PS3 and PC and play both audio at the same time, I just mute in-game music and load up a radio stream I like on the internet.

I turn them off 95% of the time unless they're playing some decent/known music. So I wouldn't say I'm bored of them as such.

Well, there are some good songs (co-incidentally the songs in the GTA V trailers) and that's about it. Favorite station is probably Radio Mirror Park due to "The Chain Gangs of 1974 - Sleepwalking". :p

Can't ever get tired of "The music sounds better with you". Would be nice to have custom radio stations added in at some point.

In the back of my mind I thought GTA online would give us new music on the radio stations but then I remembered it would cost them extra to lease new songs for licensing and usage of artists music, so yeah probably not happening..

There's over 250 songs, that's more than any GTA so no I'm not bored of the radio because I don't listen to the same station. Broaden your musical taste some.

Yeah, maybe they could merge the radio with a Spotify channel...and people with Spotify membership (£4 a month) can tune into their playlists.

Sick of the radio too haha.

I just put on my own music through xbox, but have to turn it down to like 1/4 of the green volume bar otherwise can't hear the game which is disapointing because other GTAs and games you can always hear the game sound when music is high. but if you pause ya music to listen to something you can't toggle with the music stations which is a pisstake have to stop the music in order to flick channels, yet can listen to gta radio when you pause the music... weird huh?
