Talking about Cash Cards

I looked it up and this can't be true can it?

the most expensive apartment is 400,000 but the cars and vehicles are the same as they are in single player. So even with $20 you could barely afford an Adder.

Is this right? Not that I was ever gonna spend any real money on this.

Yes that proce is correct. I for one wont be buying cash cards as you dont get enough for you money. If it was £1 per $1,000,000 then i probably would, but not at the prices they have atm.

? your post is pointless. people who want to buy cash cards want instant money.. not having to spend 4 hours doing a 9k job to get a couple hundred thousand

not everyone is poor and thinks 20 dollars is a lot, spread the cost out over the amount of enjoyment you get and it works out pennies, especially if you just buy it at the start, ill buy a couple garages a nice condo, upgrade a few rides and just save my in game earned money for ammo n when i get a mill just buy the cars in game

TO me $10 for 500,000 is a very very good deal. £5 for UK peeps as cheap as chips! $20 getting a bit higher at 1.25Mil but still seems like an epic deal!

Not that i spending money tho

Well, for poor people and underaged kids everything is expensive. But let's make some calculations..

For ~$20 you get $1250000 in gamemoney. What is the other ways to earn in-game money? From missions. At this stage fastest way to make money is to play "Violent Duct" mission over and over again (although it's already patched on PS3, but let's pretend you can still do it). Violent Duct gives you $9000, and takes like 3 minutes to complete (+ loading times).

To get $1250000 even by farming only that mission you need to play it 138,8 (~139) times. If one time playing it takes 3 minutes, well then it's 416,6 minutes of playing that mission. That is almost 7 hours and definitely over 7 hours if you take loading times.

Being an adult and working - hence having some value on my TIME aswell, I could work 7 hours and make $175 in real life. So no, I don't think it's too expensive, I would gladly pay $20 to achieve result which would take 7 hours from me. If you don't value your time and you think grinding 7 hours from your time is valued less than $20, then don't buy it.

ive spent hundreds of £ on ipad apps and games, and also in game cash on other stupid ipad games etc, so no reason not to spend 10-15 quid buying 1.25mill for gta and get some good sh*t from the start not like xbox, they need to pay for LIVE, we dont pay sh*t

1.2M is a lot i think..

I've made about 200k overall i think (looking at the stats, that's no where near what i have now) and i have a really nice muscle car, a cool suit, a good selection of weapons and a garage (the cheapest one).

It would be cool to see the apartment with the massive white room garage but i'm happy to work my way up to that, if i can stop buying useless sh*t that i don't need!

Am really enjoying online though, has hardly crashed since i started playing a couple of days ago.

i will probably buy the 20$ version.. but only to catch up once the servers are fixed.... all my deleted characters and all i probably would have had the money had my characters not been deleted so much.

I'll probably buy 4-5 of these over the next 2 months.

I've done the Violent Duct mission and got over 1 million  just to get some cool stuff.

But it's super boring and time consuming. I work and my time is somewhat valuable. Staying up all night and doing the same mission over and over isn't fun.

Buying money cards is just taking away from the fun for the person who buys it. I personally like making the money by myself, It is a lot more self gratifying than just taking the easy route and buying virtual money.

If GTA Online did not have money cards i can almost guarantee that Online would be 5x funner. Just that little less bit of grinding and or farming that i find my self need doing. But i don't blame the developer for adding it. It seems to make sense as long as it gets no further than a few money cards

I mean its not that big of a deal, it just prevents everyone from buying money.  Think of it this way,  if you paid 20 dollars and received 20 million it would defeat the purpose of trying to actually earn money in the game, which is the whole point.  I think 1.5 million is a good amount for 20 dollars.

They took advice from EA on how to release a game, then they tool advice from Zynga on how to charge people stupid prices for something so useless... The ironic part is many of you nitwits will buy...

Rockstar needs to make money so this is a smart choice on their end. Some people work and need their time. If you only get 1 to 3 hours a day to play the game each day if you are lucky because of how much you work then I cannot blame for spending 20 bucks to catch up to all of your friends. Its going to be those dbags and dbag kids who buy 10 of these who are going to ruin the game but the thing I am glad about is that money doesn't increase your rank or make you a better player.

I plan on buying one just cause i love the adder. It would be a month before i got enough for it cause of work and stuff. 1.25mill for 20$ aint bad. Go look at other games that have ingame cash.

dont understand why people insist on doing the same mission just for cash, especially considering every time you do a mission the RP goes down, thus meaning you cant actually buy anything with your all too hard earned cash. i spend every day doing repeated actions that are extremely boring for money, i don't want to do it at home too.
