Is this some kind of sick joke?

I'm only playing the SP version for now as I haven't put my XBox online yet and when I went to Frank's garage and tried to put a 5th car in it said the garage was full.

What the hell?

I remember a past GTA where you could cram loads of cars into one of the garages.

There's a name for this kind of stunt - crippleware.

I'd be happy if each of them had 8 car garages, it does feel sort of limited.

Either shut up or post a constructive reply.

There have been a lot of enhancements in V over previous versions but on the flip side there are things that are either unchanged or worse, the lack of garage space is ridiculous.

Wait, you can put 5 in?

I can only seem to fit 2 cars in Michael's garage, it doesn't complain about lack of storage space, it's just all I can fit...

Is it only Franklin's garage that gets 5 or is there something I'm missing?

He means the actual garage on your map. The one you drive up to, not the one attached to your house

It is annoying that a cycle or BMX takes a whole slot up, why couldn't there just be a bike rack inside.

The bike rack idea would be great. I definitely wouldn't use up garage space just for a pedal bike. Even better if we could put the bike on a rack that is on our car then go biking wherever we want.

More on topic though...

I do not mind the 4 car limit to the garage (I understand there must be limitations)

I would have liked to have a large garage available in Blaine county though. It would be nice to have a place to store the vehicles I like driving through the country without having to store them so far away. Especially if I can actually store my big ass truck that I can't fit into Trevor's trailer garage without smashing the windshield...

I wish we could've bought more storage garages, or even a huge warehouse to store vehicles in.

I know if I had that ability I'd have fun being a car hoarder (and a lot of others would too) by hunting down cars, modding them and creating my own personal car showroom with all the exotic cars I could find.

I agree 100%. GTA is about, well, stealing and driving cars.

I think it should be like Saints Row 1's garage system, where you have a drop down list of all your vehicles and just select one.

Who remembers the pent house in Vice City, you could store like 9/10 cars between the garages there.

With your home garage and default car that's 7 slots per character or 21 total. Seems enough to me. Just don't let one character use another character's wheels or your home garage becomes the twilight zone with rigs vanishing. The larger garages are safe.

its stupid how online you can have a garage to save ten cars ....

if even Franklin could have had a large garage or let him buy a garage /  car showroom to save and pose with your cars would have been epic.

or even a garage with a drop down menu where you choose the car from a list

saving the large garages for online only is FCUKED UP  -   and Franklin is a car specialist -

I would have loved a LS Customs or private garage where we could customize ANY car if even for a very large price in game $$$

I know I'm going off topic again but why wasn't the online insurance, tracking and retrieval feature added to single player?

It would have added so much depth to car ownership, by buying low-mid end cars early, modding and growing to love them

Then more money comes in and you start to contemplate getting rid of one if your loyal trusted low end cars, and move in to bigger badder cars.

It seems silly, I basically stole all my best cars apart from the ridiculously fast high end cars, only now I'm I'm modding low end cars to mess about in then abandon.

Obviously you have the players stock car to mod which is good, but why couldn't you change the stock car?

Why are Rockstar pushing online so much ? GTA should be primarily a SP experience. Like with GTA4 you could go online but it wasn't the be all and end all.

I'm not a big online fan in general because of all the annoying kiddies, but I do like co-op games like Borderlands and Left 4 Dead where its all about teamwork.

The fact that loads of content is online only - like the aforementioned garage space issues - feels like a bit of a swizz. I do like the SP but miss the Pool, Gambling, and other stuff in the old GTAs. The old SA had tons of stuff to do (burglary missions being my personal favourite).

In a couple of years we're going to look back on the SP and laugh at how limited it is. Online is going to grow and evolve for a long time and we'll have exponentially more things to do in online than we will in SP. I finished the story missions last night and was able to finally get online for a few hours today and I doubt I'll be looking back to SP very often now that I've had a taste of the online world.
