Does anyone else know if this is going to be included at a later date?

I miss it, I loved the option in Red Dead Redemption. Considering you can now invite other players to your house or apartment, it would be awesome to host a poker game and be able to lose or win thousands of dollars.

Oh, that sounds like an excellent idea!

Seriously, I'm totally behind it. Maybe you could organize private games in apartments.

Well it could be DLC later, but nothing around poker has been announced.

Here is my "Casino DLC" idea:

  1.  1 Big Casino in Los Santos (Blackjack, Roulette, Poker, Slot Machines, usual games...).
  • No DM zone (can't equip weapon inside the building)
  • ATMs in the building
  • Converting your GTA$ into GTAC$ (Casino-money) /optional feature/
  • Bar inside the casino with cocktails and stuff
  1. A few smaller casinos in the country (bars with slot machines and poker table
  • No ATMs, so it's a good place to steal your opponent's money. This place would be great for the risk-loving players / crews to hit on some guys with loads of cash.
  1. If you have a big enough house, the possibility to buy a poker table or poker equipment, so you can invite your friends over for a poker party.

Well there is a big casino in the game already. I'd assume at some point it will be unlocked. But I do love the idea of inviting friends over for a poker night.

That would be perfect, awesome idea.

The game has a LOT of really well detailed buildings, it pretty much seems they ran out of time and couldn't polish everything to 100% and left a few features out for a while (ex. Heists, etc), so I have a feeling that the Casino thing will also be a free DLC.

You'd think this is common sense to add for R*, since the game is about money (and it's just a copy/paste job from RDR poker), but no, they add yoga and golf instead... They'll probably add it in the future as DLC because $1 billion and counting obviously isn't enough for them to prioritize the fans.

Funny thing is, Poker in RDR would've been better than any of these shoddy minigames they gave us....and the code was already written for it too.

I really hope so. A casino would be an awesome add on. It's perfect for this game

I think they will prioritize us, the fans, as soon as this online misery is gone. And by DLC I thought free-DLC, not the rip-off-pay-10-euros-for-a-minigame.

Agreed. RDRs poker in GTA would be a major win.

You have a point there. I don't see why it wasn't added, unless they didn't have enough time. It could be a good addition to GTA V, and GTA Online.

I've always wondered why they implemented a big casino that can't be used. It would definitely be amazing, you got to think they will eventually bring it in to play.

I think the reason the casino is not open is two-fold.

1. Not enough time to finish gambling mechanic/casino interior/whatever assets were needed

and

2. I can imagine a heist in online mode which has a crew robbing the place Oceans 11 style (please be in the game).

I also LOVED liars dice, but I suppose that wouldn't really fit. Unless you could only find it in some dive bar out in the desert...

Man I would love to play some liars dice with people in GTAO.

I loved it in Red Dead. They need a casino in GTA V Online. Poker, Blackjack, and Slots.
