After completion and saving the assassination missions to the end, I have about 700M on each character. Buying cars and upgrading them is fun, but you can only save 4.  Bought all the clothes. The properties are pointless.

I think I can stop there. I was really looking forward to buying actual houses among other things that I thought would be in the game to spend my money on. I noticed a very-detailed casino and horse track, but you can't actually do anything there. I guess I just had hoped that being they made it so easy to get a lot of money, that'd there'd actually be more things you could use it on.

GTA V has the most amount of things to buy out of any GTA and generally the most expensive and people still say money is pointless? Wow.

Don't forget MVC, that only game that wasn't pointless in terms of money was SA. Every other is just broken is terms of economy.

GTA V got a lot to spend money on, yet the people are still complaining. I'm somewhere in the middle of the game and the 150 000 000 needed for a golf club seems like a lot for me to earn. Using certain asspects of your game for your advantage (like saving assasination mission for the end and earning a lot by such exploits) is not value point in bashing the game.

I thinks he's just really upset that you cannot buy safehouses which I know everyone expected to be available in SP.

It's because most people expected to spend all their money on safehouses etc. It makes no sense to have billions of dollars and can only buy car mods, gun mods, vehicles, clothes and properties which only just give you more money. At least in GTA IV you couldn't earn that much money so it made a bit more sense.

most things in the way of what?

cars? we can steal those..........i know thats a crazy idea there. but the games namesake is Grand Theft Auto.

planes and helicopters? we can steal those as well.

properties? theyre worthless...it takes most of them months if not years of in-game time lapse to turn a profit...some of them require you to 'do missions' to insure you turn a profit on your business for that week. its nothing like past 'property missions' at all. Its simply....go here, drive this there, kill x gangmembers. At least past games actually had some story to it. at this point its an annoying distraction from your free roam.

clothes? yay expensive clothing...most of which will never be worn after trying them on at the store the first time.

car customization? you pull out of the LSC and a car suddenly juts across the intersection and collides with you..that pretty paint job and 100000 invested now needs repairs.

had Rockstar not short changed us on Properties and the proper missions that should of accompanied them. OR the fact we could of invested in other safehouses. money might actually had some serious use.

Who cares if it's called Grand Theft Auto? Why have guns? This isn't COD. See how stupid your logic is?

A lot of the vehicles for sale aren't that easy to find and I'd like to think R* added it for the sake of convenience because cars like the Z Type aren't seen everyday. While I think they could've added more it's a lot easier than driving around for a particular vehicle and it gives a sense of ownership. People complained about not being able to buy cars in Gta IV even though there was an ingame website. Not just cars, but bicycles, jet skis, boats, planes and military equpiment. This is what the fanbase wanted.

Anyway even if we could buy safe houses how would this solve anything? We'd buy them all up and still have money left over. Back to square one.

If money is considered pointless in GTA V it's pointless in every GTA then. Better yet don't use the stock market if you don't want millions of dollars lying around.

R* have obviously listened to the criticisms from GTA IV to give money more use, but it's apparently not good enough for some.

Get off Rockstars dong you guys...there should AT LEAST be safehouses to buy! If you can't admit that you have truly drunk the kool aid.

There could be safehouses to buy, but they are becoming more or less worthless, because you can save your game anytime, anyplace with your phone. The only thing that you can't have with you is your wardrobe, so it's the only thing that you need safehouse for.

Safehouses are losing their importance and option to buy them would be nice, but it's not the most important in the game.

Don't get so much damn money then. I got $150m per character, spent all of Michaels on properties now i'm having fun playing the stock market to get enough to buy the last two properties ($20m and $30m)

I got 200 million for Franklin and Michael.. Got all the properties I care about, bought most of the clothes from all stores, weapons, car mods....

And the stock market they said we could effect is a bleeping lie, no safe houses in SP, game is a lie and you all know it. I guess when the police kill me in a few minutes I won't have to worry about being charged $5000.... YAY.....

I thought properties were supposed to be for 100% or achievements, but nope. So I have over $150 million on each character, with not much to buy.

Um, you can affect the stock market. Look at how high Pisswasser is going after there was a coordinated effort to buy into it. Not to mention the assassination missions.

Enough with the woe is me, game is a failure bullsh*t. Yeah, maybe it didn't have a few (MINOR) things you didn't want. It doesn't mean it's not a f*cking amazing game. If R* put in every little thing that each person wanted, it would take two f*cking days to install the game.

Just because they add more things to buy doesn't make money any more useful.

There are specific missions in the game devoted to giving you tons of money through the stock market. You can end the game with around 2 billion for each character. Now I did a little research on prices in the game.

Price to buy all vehicles online(Phone) - $31,426,680 (Planes, tank, helicopters, bicycles, cars)

Even with it being that much there are many cars no one wants to buy...

Price to buy all properties - $217,099,850

Grand Total -  $248,526,530

Now with 2 billion for each character, even this isn't that much. There's also the fact it would take a couple years to actually turn a profit on all your properties and you can't even go in them. Some you even have to do all the work yourself and can't hire anyone to do the work for you. Plus why would anyone spend 1,000,000 on a Bugatti when they can get them for free just by driving down 1 street and stealing it... Sure you wont see a Z-Type driving around anytime soon, but with 2 billion in your back pocket, 10 million just isn't that much.

I must agree, whilst it might seem like there is an abundance of stuff to buy - there really isn't.

Cars: Virtually all cars listed are available through the means of simply stealing them, and arguably the enjoyable cars aren't even listed for purchase at all.

Boats: Everything is up for you to steal.

Military vehicles, aircrafts, bicycles and motorcycles: Ditto.

Sure you can purchase properties but doing so seems pointless, as the only reason you would want to make more money is to buy more fun/interesting, which aren't there for you to purchase.

Everyone seems to support R* like they're godly

Anyway, I agree. I haven't gotten massive amounts of money, but I do have around $60 million, and don't see much point in getting more.

Properties are nice and all but they take a long time to return your money and start actually earning. The only real advantages are perks like free cab rides

Guns can be maxed out and every gun bought for around $50,000 total for a good stack of ammo with them.

Cars are a good idea, but somewhat pointless. I bought the Adder and that's the only car I see any point in buying, since most sports cars have the same top speed and maxed out acceleration. Upgrades are a good part that I like but frankly, not really worth it. You can only really upgrade the acceleration and braking (slightly). Not to mention that cars with special uses during missions lose that use in free roam. Like the JB 700 that has un-usable guns and jacks.

Planes/Heli's are semi expensive, but most you can just steal anyway. I stole the fighter jet and plan on getting the combat buzzard soon. They would have more purpose if you could customize them (which I really hoped we could do)

wish they would have had a way to buy houses and fortify them or upgrade them. Or a way to pay for armed guards/gang members to help you or guard your safehouse. Or added more garages to buy to store cars you can buy

and this is semi off topic, but the stocks seem extremely unbalanced to me. The graphs have no actual relation to the stock, and as soon as you buy a share the stocks seem to go stagnant. I sat on a stock that I bought at its all time low for an in-game week and it hadn't gone up. It actually went down.

But anyway, I agree. There really isn't much to spend money on. Before you try crucify me for saying it isn't "good enough", I'm saying it's better than GTA IV, but not a complete fix.

The money is pointless because it's pointless dumbass. You rolled through 120 hours squeezed into 12 days to beat the game, so that's your punishment.  That's like, what... 10 hours a day?
