I thought online was going to be AMAZING, but it's really boring..

- Few cars

- Few peds

- Graphic seems laggy

- Game seems laggy

- No wild life

- City looks empty

- I am not going to lie, the online mode makes me feel lonely in the game... I feel alone for some reason..

I can wait for a while. Not everyone here is an impatient autistic kid or manchild (although the majority are).

If GTA V Online didn't exist then so be it,I wouldn't really care much. I'm more of a single player guy honestly GTA Wise. I just want to give it a try since it does exist plus I want to try to go for the platinum (PS3) so I gotta play Online xD

I'm looking forward to online when it starts working properly. However, I played all of the GTA's from 1 to 4 without a proper online experience and they all made a massive impact on the way I like to play games. To all the people that bash R*, imagine a world where GTA was never created. So this games got a few bugs? Who gives a f*ck? San Andreas had lobster hands but it was still flipping amazing. It's all about immersion, stop bitching and immerse yourself in the GTA world and you will soon find that it's amazing!

I never played online before, but thought I'd give it a whirl this time with GTA V.

I found it to be a confusing experience. I wasn't really sure what to do, or who to cooperate with. Someone kept running me over with their automobile and I could hear people talking and coughing, but couldn't make out what they were saying or who was saying it.

There were no cars on the streets, and no pedestrians. It felt like a post-apocalyptic city where everyone had died during an epidemic. I don't think I will try it again, even though making my character look like me was fun.

it's better than IV's online and i might actually play it now and again but GTA has always been about single player for me. unfortunately rockstar doesn't think so. their focus is GTAO. they are "working around the clock" fixing it but what about SP? there are a lot of things that need changed:

- less aggressive cops

- better car storage...AND CAR INSURANCE!!

- better health/bullet proof vests.

- affordable properties/better income

- easier to make money and better stock market.

- cars get wrecked easily

how hard can it be? adjust a few values for bullet hit/health damage, tone down amount police cars/ helicopters, have 1 garage (at safehouse) with a menu to select cars. if a car is left in the street then it goes to impound. if it's destroyed you can claim your insurance. change prices of properties and income. change amount of money you get from store/security van robberies etc and tone down vehicle damage.

sadly i doubt these things will ever get fixed/added. sp will get a few bug fixes and thats it. GTAO will have their full attention. this makes me sad for GTA....eventually it'll all be online with subscriptions, dlc and microtransactions.

I'm pretty apathetic to the online.  I'm going to give it a try, see if its any good, if not, no harm no foul.  If it is good, then me n' some buddies are gonna start robbin' n racin'.

I mean almost everyone is stressing out making topics of how Rockstar is stupid or they don't care.Am I the single one in here who doesn't give a f*ck about online and just play the game?

Rockstar worked really hard on this game and they don't deserve this.

Listen you stupid f*ck.

Everybody is working hard not just R*

It's not like they gave us the game for free.

We paid for it a lot money (earned by hard working) and it does not working.

That is why we are pissed off.

I'm happy to (potentially) have it as an option, but GTA has always been a single player experience for me, always will be.

actually i felt GTA online more alive and fluid, than the singleplayer. I have seen new interiors and billboards.

there are more options for players that we do not have in singleplayer e.g. more customizations, modes etc.

Did u know that u can use John Marston (RDR)as ur grandfather in character customization. and thats totally free :)

The game is worth the money for SP alone.  I view online as a free add on, and as such, I'm not gonna bitch when it takes a little bit to get off the ground, because the game does what I bought it to do.

They don't really deserve this? Lol. When you have a game that doesn't work correctly in some way, your gonna have people mad at the developers. No matter the game. That's just how it is. I'm pretty sure there doing fine without all these people trying to defend them. Their making making billions. They could give a f*ck about all these people trying to defend them because there making profit. & in the end, that's all that matters nowadays to company's that make their games to appeal to the masses instead of being unique in the sake of loosing a couple customers. It's all about the numbers & less about the game. That's why they added microtransactions in gta 5. They can't get enough of that money

Yeah I'm with OP.....I couldnt care less about online. Have tried it yet and I'm in no rush to do so.

I hate the fact how R* are now taking GTA in the online direction for the future, SP isnt the priority anymore....f*cking sucks.

I couldn't connect on Tuesday but ended up having a lot of fun either way.

Only reason I want online up is because I want to mess around with friends and do stupid stuff, stunts, etc.

I agree too.

If I want to socialise, I'll go out.

if I'm playing video games, it's because I want some time to myself. And therefore what's important to me is that single player is awesome (and it is).

Doubt I'll ever take GTA online......

I'll have to also quote this post, sorry, but it's exactly how I feel about the issue. I play video games to get away from the world and the morons that live within in it. I'm an introvert when it comes to gaming. That said, I will try GTAO only for the extras they have promissed. Hopefully I can do so without some snot nosed kid ruining my fun acting like a little bitch. Even better, it would be nice if R* made a patch that added some of the online extras to SP, so video game introverts such as myself don't add even more strain to their bloated servers trying to experience them.

It's sad to see a great SP franchise catering more to online play at the expense of SP. If the trend continues, my money will go elsewhere. Luckily I have stretched the SP campaign out. I'll only a little over half way through having played a little over 70 hours.

Never have and never will care for online in any game, it's just sad that every company is conforming to the multiplayer-only gaming era. I will always play single player, but it's disappointing that Rockstar didn't do as much as they could have in single player, as they focused only on multiplayer.

The great thing when the PC version is out is that there won't be any multiplayer-exclusive items, or stuff exclusive that greedy "editions" stunt Rockstar pulled, because a simple trainer will allow me to access everything, not to mention modding to improve this game drastically. GTA was made from an amazing single player experience, but now they're throwing it away, and act like gamers who only play single player don't exist. I just hope the future of the series isn't like this, otherwise there won't be a next game for us. Why can't they just cater to both? If they add something to one mode, why not the other? Imagine how much better GTA V would have been if they actually cared about the single player mode.

They really only did this to squeeze consumers of their last cent, with things such as that horrible micro-transaction stuff. Not to mention they lied to us, promising lots of features, only to have them exclusive to online. I don't want to be forced to play online to get the features I was promised. Lying to consumers is terrible. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if we can do anything, I think in terms of modes, us single player gamers are the minority, as it seems the majority are multiplayer gamers, but that shouldn't mean Rockstar leave us behind. It's an amazing game (with obvious flaws), but I play this game for single player, and that will never change for me. I have no problem if you like to play online, but many of us don't want to go near it. Multiplayer is just full of kids acting like they own GTA V (as in, they think they can tell others what to do, and that they're always right).

It's like Rockstar pulled another Max Payne 3 stunt, where they announce something big to drive up sales of something else (announcing GTA V to get Max Payne 3 more attention), they really only made GTA V so they could pull in more awareness to the online mode. They only went ambitious on the online mode, and ignored single player. I want the most out of the single player experience, too bad Rockstar don't want that, they know that multiplayer is where the money is made, and if that means to completely ignore single player, then they'll do it.

It's great to see there's still a number of single player-only gamers. There's no way I'm conforming to today's gaming standards.

Once you finish the main missions, and the extra ones, you will not have nothing more to do, just driving around and bored.

So, the online it's just an alternative.

PS: I say this, because i finished the game, and i'm bored. I don't know what to do, and waited for this game so many years. I don't if the problem it's me for expecting so much more, or if R* disappointed me.

Nothing to do? Let's see:

-cars to customise

-sports to play

-triathlons to do

-random encounters to do

-animal hunting

-skydiving

-huge ass map to explore (including ocean)

And that's all I can think of right now. How can you possibly be bored?...

Let's see how much time you can do this repeatedly without getting bored.

Ofc they worked hard. It's the most fun I've had with a game in over 8 years. But it doesn't mean that they f*cked up in certain areas.

Some of those do have a lot replay value.  Skydiving never gets old...neither do random encounters, or sports (if you like that kind of thing).  I do agree about things like hunting (it's too limited) and triathlons though.  Exploring does get old as well.  Most of the great side activities, like bail bonds, assassinations do not keep happening (unless you do the replay mission feature) once they are completed and that's a huge turn off for me.
